ok #1 about the dr and cps there is a fine line there because of patient confidentiality. It has to be proven that it is harmful to the child.
#2 I am a mother of 2 my children are 18 and 21. I smoked pot with my oldest, through about the first 5 months and off and on for the rest.
Now my daughter graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA. She is not ADD or ADHD. The only thing that my daughter suffers from is mild anxiety that was induced by PTSS (post traumatic stress syndrome) The PTSS was caused from 3 deaths of close family members within an 8 month period.
Now with my son I didn't smoke. There were some major complications at his birth. I was told that he would probably have upper reshpiritory problems (which he dosen't) He had a bowel movememt in the sack, and inhaled part of it. My son sufers from severe ADHD. Which he got ginetically from me. Which in turn causes problems with school. He is due to graduate in May. Because of the medication he is on his bone growth has been retarded. He is somewhat immatture and childish.
My sister smoked thru 3 of her 5 pregnancies. All of her kids and mine are healthy as oxes. The only child that we have that has any learning disabilities is one of the 2 my sister didn't smoke with.
One friends dr told her that the only reason he asked her to quit is because she didn't know what insecticides they used on the marijuana. He said that the insecticide could be harmful to the fetus. He said if she grew it herself there would be no harm.
Out of all these kids there has been one unwed pregnancy, no major illnesses, learning disorders or anything due to the marijuana. None of them have criminal records either. All but my daughter were good babies. My daughter cried alot, because I was trying to breast feed (no I was not smoking at this time) and I didn't make enough milk. Later I found out I didn't make enough milk because I wasn't eating enough (we were E-1 rank in the Army, poorest of the poor) and couldn't always afford to eat right. After she was put on the bottle she became a happy baby.
