Me & my boyfriend smoked marijuana everyday for over a year i been hanging out with this girl for 2 months n smoked atless 7 blunts a day after all the times i tried getting pregnant it didnt work once i kept smoking so much i got pregnant so i dont understand how weed effects us from getting pregnant lol. I dont smoke anymore obv. but any1 who says " why would u want the father of ya child smoking" it really doesnt matter as long as he isnt doing it around you while pregnant or hurting himself. my doctor said it was perfectly fine. Im 9 weeks pregnant and my babys heart rate is 167 and i smoked weed for 3 weeks everyday because i didnt know i was pregnant. So whatever any body says about it doing damage i dont believe it but i wouldnt risk any kind of chance with my miracle baby.

This isn't a debate on the pro or cons of potsmoking. Are pot heads good people? Who cares? Doesn't matter for this question.

Stay off the potsmoking. It does make it harder to get pregnant and there could be side effects to the baby. (his smoking around you).

But also give up caffeine. Soda, coffee, tea, if it doesn't say caffeine free don't drink it.

Start taking folic acid or prenatal vitamins before you become pregnant. It raised you chances of pregnancy and makes a healthier baby.

stop having sex until a few days before that date, then have as much sex as possible.

the no sex period will give your boyfriend time to build up his sperm and make them better swimmers.

So I looked up this thread because my future wife missed her period but is on the pill and I was curious to facter in all the odds against her being pregnant, but I wasn't expecting a full blown debate against the use of marijuana! There are a lot of people on here who are just spouting opinions about whether or not it's right or wrong. I don't deal in opinions, I deal in facts. The fact of the matter is that the same government that criminalizes the use of marijuana also seems to find it acceptable to give it to cancer patients. Sound strange to you? Well so far 13 states seem to think it's odd because they have elected to legalize it for medicinal purposes. So all of you who are shaking their fists at the "pot smokers", are the people who have recieived a perscription to smoke marijuana bad? Are they social devients? These are people who suffer from, among other things: Multiple Sclerosis, spinal chord injury, nuasea caused by chemotherapy and radiotherapy, chronic neuralgic pain, and Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome. Now I don't know about you but it seems to me that the above list includes some pretty sick people. Why would a medical doctor perscribe something so "dangerous" to people so sick? They aren't exactly handing out perscriptions for packs of cigarettes or bottles of gin, and yet people can use these drugs without a moments worry because apparently they are much safer for human consumption. So it seems to me that if it's safe enough to give to people that sick, what is the harm in a healthy person using it? Now don't get me wrong, there are bad apples in every bunch, and there will always by that person who takes it above and beyond, but the same risk is involved with anyone perscribed any sort of pain pill, or any other pill for that matter. You simply cannot say that everyone who smokes marijuana is unfit to function properly and lead a normal healthy life. I support anyone who says that they choose not to smoke, that is your choice, but to say that it is "wrong" in a manner that implies that your opinion is the same as fact is just ignorant.

I leave you with one more fact. This is a list of states in which medicinal marijuana is legal.

1. Alaska - 1999
2. California - 1996
3. Colorado - 2000
4. Hawaii - 2000
5. Maine - 1999
6. Montana - 2004
7. Nevada - 2000
8. New Mexico - 2008
9. Oregon - 1998
10. Rhode Island - 2006
11. Vermont - 2004
12. Washington - 1996
13. Michigan - 2009

as far as getting pregnant from a man who smokes weeds, or has smoked in the past, yes it can happen.

as far as bashing marijuana, well, if you ever drink alcohol, then don't bash weed.

i'm an ex stoner only because I can breath if I smoke it. if it was legal, i'd still smoke it on occassions.

alchohol which is legal killed my dad at a young age. he ws 56. he was an alcoholic by the time he was 14 years old. alchohol also killed my cousin by the time he was 42

alcoholism is genetic therefore you are playing rusian roulette (when it comes to becoming an alcoholic) if you drink,

marijuana is NOT addicting. you don't detox like you do with alchohol or other addictive drugs.

cigarettes are addicting and they are legal

marijuana alters your mind a whole lot less then alchohol.

educate yourselves on the subject before knocking it.
