Im sorry this just sounds like you had a bad high, you shouldn't use such strong language like "Don't ever smoke weed.. ..on zoloft" without any science behind it. You just had a bad high dude, tons of people smoke and use zoloft with no side effects at all. Also, tons of people who don't use zoloft and experience many of the same symptoms you did.

I've been smoking and taking zoloft regularly for a while. When you start taking zoloft, it's probably not a good idea to mix it with anything for a little while. If you haven't smoked weed already the effects are much more potent, but you build a tolerance over time and the more you smoke. It's important to firstly do it in a safe and comfortable environment and remember that nothing bad can happen to you. I haven't had any negative side effects. so I dont know what this "sure recipe" business is. Use caution, judgment, discussion with trusted peers. Everyone reacts differently to different things.

I have smoked weed to some degree or another over 35 years the last 15 daily smoker.Have been on zolof and lemictal for 7 years when I smoke I wake and bake and smoke through the whole day. The 1st day is awesome. I do not sleep well when have not smoked in awhile. I do not care who your are , you are lying if you say that after not smoking for 3 month when you do smoke u wake up not feeling right. on the 2nd day b/c I wake up not feeling good so I smoke right out of bed. Then until I go to bed. after 3 or 4 days I start to feel sick more then high . Hard to stop because that means more pain. After about 8 days of smoking I will stop. the mental and physical pain are unbareble. It take at least a month before I feel good again. The effects of the high degress with everyday that you continually smoke to the point where the high is minamal and the bad side effects realistically are not worth smoking. You begin to smoke out of habit not to get high. Stop smoking for a week and feel the pain of the withdrawals. weed is awesome in moderation. once or 2 time a month. Daily smoking is a waste of time and money per your not really feeling the effects of the high. You are f*****g up if you use weed while on antidepresants. Your on Zolof for a reason and those who have been on it know that the effects are minimal at best. You do not go from being depressed to life is beautiful by taking zolof. I would rather die while I am living then live while I am dead.

thats because you are a light weight, and believe all the lies you've been fed about marijuana. Someone who is uninformed about the truth should not giving advice about smoking or not. The paranoid feeling you experienced are because you feel "guilty" about smoking in the first place, because you've been told its wrong or makes you a bad person, when in reality, you have been lied to. if you take zolft its because you have some issue with depression or anxiety already and you believe the lies and it made you feel " bad" about yourself at the time. go online and educate yourself. Marijuana actually works well as treatment for depression and anxiety.

I'm just going to say something brief so you know my background. I have taken various drugs throughout my life; salvia, research chemicals, MDMA, peruvian torch, shrooms, marijuana, and have been on citalopram but am now on sertraline (zoloft). I have used these as a way of coping with my depression and anxiety.
I had what i consider to be a life changing moment for me recently, because i had never been so emotional before. I basically bawled my eyes out talking to my dad and my friends about my problems. After that i believe i have been thinking clearer than ever before.
I'm currently taking zoloft and smoking marijuana. From my personal experience, taking them both closely within one another can make you have a panic attack, but if you give at least some hours between them they don't seem to react with one another.
Is it okay to smoke pot and take zoloft? Only you can decide. How do you truly feel? Are you happy with yourself at the moment, or are you feeling bad in some way? If you are feeling content or happy, then there is no reason to stop taking them both unless you feel unhappy. Once you feel unhappy, then you need to change something. Stop taking one of them at a time to see if they are interecting badly, and which helps better. Still feeling bad? Then try something else alltogether.
TL;DR
If you are happy, keep taking them both. If you are not, find out if either alone will help. If neither one nor both work, find something else alltogether. Your happiness is what truly matters.

Alright, so here is my story. I was prescribed Zoloft a month and a half ago, so I was taking it and smoking weed like really all the time, and I was fine. However, as a very irresponsible person, forgot to take a pill one day, then another and then another. And literally yesterday I had a huge fight with my bf, hysteria took place etc, and I went on to take 3 Zoloft pills and immediately smoked a bung of strong skunk(if I'm not mistaken) and yeah, I went through hell, seriously, crying and rolling all the time from pain one moment, hysterically laughing another, felt like a complete psycho. But oh well, even off any drugs I'm a bit mental, not in a clinical way, but you know what they say. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Even though I thought it was going to kill me. :D Teehee, Enjoy life to it's fullest, have to feel the downsides of life in order to fully appreciate the upsides, right?!

I tried this recently, my heart was racing at 160, tachycardia, which if you look up is a possible reaction to this mix. Also this combo could overload your brain of Serotonin possibly causing blackouts and seizures. I personally experienced along with the tachycardia; vertigo, loss of motor function and my lips were swollen, big and puffy. Lasted about four hours, worst time of my life. NEVER taking Zoloft again, thankfully I was only on it two days so it was easy to stop.
Of course, as you have seen, everyone is different and may not expierence what I did. That being said, I wouldn't reccommend it. Pick one or the other.

I'm a light smoker and smoke every day, I've had no negative side effects combining the two. Many people on here talk about how they tried it once and had a bad experience, that usually happens if you smoke too much too quickly.
Inexperienced or light smokers need to know their own limit, if you wouldn't knock back half a bottle of vodka in one go, same applies for weed.
