First time I mixed the two it felt flippin amazing!!! So I kept trying different ways and bong hits are insane with it, feels awesome. Anyway trip lasts a lot longer, I'll wake up and be stoned the entire next day until I take my next Zoloft. To those who had bad experiences, maybe you over did it or were in bad vibes.. Because it only takes me a few puffs to be completely stoned already. Pace yourself maybe

I use marijuana medically as I am allergic to most NSAIDS. That said, it is prescribed for me as is zoloft. I only need a very small of THC vapor and I use it to deal with pain, headache and sleeplessness with great sucess. Now come zoloft. My doc prescribed a tiny dose of zoloft for treating the depression I experience after loosing the love of my life. I have never found any problem using both drugs simultaneously so I am surprised to read the posted accounts.

Cannabis is actually used to treat anxiety as well as many other disorders quite effectively. While experiences on the drug are different depending on the person who takes them more often than not it helps. Cannabis is also very effective in treating many other ailments such as Glaucoma and even some Cancer cells effectively. Just because your government says something is bad, doesn't make it so. Remember it wasn't too long ago that our government banned alcohol all together, in my opinion society would have benefited if alcohol were still prohibitioned rather than than Cannabis.

Hey y'all! I don't smoked since I was on Zoloft cuz I was super able to cope with my husband being insane and leaving me and our children. Then I decided to smoke for fun, instead of the usual smoke so I don't kill someone, and the next days the Zoloft has seem ed to lose some affect. Ya see, tetrahydracannibinol (thc) blocks many receptors. I think it's blocking Zoloft. For my happiness (which is ALL Zoloft at this point), I'm going to abstain from weed. I suggest you at least try if Zoloft isn't working for you. Cuz it SUPER works ppl. Omg. I was walking around waiting for someone to look at me crooked so I could lay them out like an effing rug.

I've only had one problem with it. I smoke daily and take zoloft every night before bed. I got really scared and panicked which probably made it worse. it was weird, also, cause I only hit the bong ONE TIME. I can hit it 20 times any other day and just be comfortably stoned. I think it may have something to do with the food in you have in you, because I had not ate that day (due to the nausea from Zoloft) otherwise smoke away! if you get a little nervous after you toke, DO NOT GET ON GOOGLE! you'll look up the symptoms and it'll tell you you're dying or something crazy that just scare you more and make your feel terrible. my advice is to enjoy the ride & maybe sing a song. singing a favorite song can for sure turn a bad trip around :-)

Agreed. I smokes daily for over 10 years then quit for work. I started Zoloft about six months ago, and just smoked a few times since then.. It seems unpredictable. I talked non stop one night, I also was drinking at the time. Other times I relax like I'm used to doing. But I feel lethargic afterwards sometimes for two days after. Also sleeping longer and feeling tired the next day. It has to be the Zoloft, I was a very functional smoker in the past

lol im on Zoloft, a high dose benzo (etizolam) which is a benzo drug like rohypnol (Flunitrazepam), the usual date rape drug, weed and codeine. I just feel euphoric and relaxed.

Most likely you had a panic attack and were so sedated that you couldn't move, especially with the stoning of weed. Plus a panic attack due to the anxiety of Zoloft and weed + weed paranoia.
That would be a terrible and scary experience.

Or - You didn't have a panic attack and were jst very stoned, sleepy from Zoloft (Very common adverse effects include: Fatigue and Somnolence.
And also sleepy from the date rape drug which should've calmed you down depending on the dose of everything. No tolerance to weed, you probably got very high.

---------------------------------------------

dcaseyj is right there is no interaction with alcohol and marijuana other than u'll get dizzy if you have alcohol before the marijuana.
Like the saying goes: grass before beer you're in the clear, beer before grass you're on your ass; I've experienced this myself.
Alcohol and Cannabis are extremely euphoric if you get it right. Pretty intense body high, no anxiety either.

But dcaseyj -The Zoloft for certain people reduces anxiety and increases the weed high. Most get anxiety from Zoloft, and weed gives most anxiety / paranoia.

I was on zoloft for about 2 months and I then began smoking pot. My first highs were normal, and I continued to smoke maybe about once a week for about 6 months or so. One time I smoked and everything was different. I felt like I was going to vomit, my throught closed up, I couldn't see straight, I felt absolutely terrible. I was at a concert with my friends and passed out multiple times, had a few seizures, had no control of my motor skills and had to be taken away in an ambulence. I had a terrible physchological experience that still haunts me; I truly believed I was dying. On occassion my throat closes up just like it did that night. I haven't been able to be very social ever since because it was that traumatic of an experience. Please, do not smoke while on Zoloft. I wish I wouldn't have.

I agree with you.. I have been taking 100 mg. Zoloft daily for over a year and previously took it back 4 yrs. ago for a 1 yr. period.. I have also taken Cymbalta for 2 yrs for back pain and believe I lost my hearing in one ear as a result.. And, all that said I just recently have been experimenting with some MMJ here in CO. So far so good.No more than 2 hits kicks me pretty good and keeps the back pain @ a min. for several hours..

Hey, I smoke weed everyday in the evening and with the meds too i haven't experienced any side affects, you shouldn't really smoke weed if your not used to it as some people to get paranoid, so if your a regular carry on, if not just don't bother, you'll end up causing yourself distress

Sorry to resurrect a year old story, but as a resident of Colorado the first state to make cannabis legal for anyone over 21 has been a bold and successful move so far, or at least appears to be according to the numbers across the board. My experience with Canannabis Indica & Canannabis Sativa as well as edibles and other methods of consumption has reshaped my opinion. As far as any drug interactions, in this case with the pharmaceutical Zoloft, I personally have not notice much difference. However, I am a state approved medical user, I use medical grade plant matter as well as vaporize the flowers to potentially reduce harshness of smoke. I've been fortunate enough to try many strains of this diverse plant. In doing so I have taken notice to the individual class or strain uniqueness. I've experienced more uncomfortable feelings & reactions with 100% Sativa or Sativa dominant buds. Remember the human body is not built to handle to much of almost anything, but can handle much. On the other hand my experience with 100% Indica or Indica dominant plants have little or zero effects with Zoloft-100mg daily as well vaporize up to 1/2 ounce per week. So I wouldn't assume these two made anyone have to many terrible feelings unless of course the marijauna was consumed in a case where it surprised the consumer with unknown effects ,perhaps was grown in poor conditions vs an ideal environment. It could of had soil nutrient deficiencies, or worse treated with chemicals and/or pesticides that might increase the growers yield hence more profit, but potentially be TOXIC; which is often the case, more so buying the product from someone who doesn't know anything about it, except it somehow gets the buyer high 'cause their the weed man, and they've got to get over paid. As with a long list of other things education & experience regarding such should teach a majority some moderation. Until they at least know what their tolerance level is or just decide for themselves, whatever their justification is for consuming or not consuming the plant is their choice! To the future of more positive results & discoveries regarding the great Cannabis plant with all the history & mysteries that come with it. - Denver, Co.

False, Cannabis saved my life in terms of anxiety, I now am prescribed it because of its success, It may not help you but that does not mean it can help someone else.

This remark is an ignorant one. I am 22 and have had really bad anxiety for as long as I can remember. I don't know of your personal experiences with anxiety or weed but I can tell you that you don't know if weed will or will not help another person, they are the only one who can say if something is or is not helping with their anxiety. I have been smoking weed for five years to help cope, it has not hampered my ability to be a good person. In fact weed has enhanced my life, I am: One year away from getting my bachelors for my dream job, working full time, going to school full time getting mostly A's and B's in my classes. Please try not to make such silly remarks as this.
