I must admit, i was a heavyy marijuana smoker before i found out that i was pregnant. I smoked up to 3-4 blunts a day. When i found out i told myself that i would quit, but i didn't realize how sick i was getting from being pregnant, sometimes i even feel like i can't eat, well not sometimes ALL THE TIME and i know that is unhealthy for the baby, because it needs food and nutrients to grow and develop. So i found myself smoking here and there, about a blunt a day for a couple of days, but with other people smoking with me, and i feel sooo much better, my sickness goes away, and i can eat ALOT. I personally know people who have smoked during there whole pregnancy, but im still a little worried about it. Should i stop? or is okay if i just do it once in a while wen im feeling sick and i feel like i need to eat, but cant? There is nothing more in this world that i love more right now then being a soon to be mother, and i don't want anyone judging me because of this.
I'm not judging you. It is not my goal.
You should stop. Now. Period. It is not just the nutrition that your baby needs from you.
Smoking marijuana affects the growth of the fetus and the nervous system. Some studies show short term memory problems often result as well.
The other problem is that marijuana is often laced with other drugs. You may not really know what you are smoking.
If you truly want nothing more than to be a mother, get off drugs. Your child will do much better in a home with a sober parent. You'll also set a positive example for your child as they grow.
Best of luck

No one here will judge you as you are asking a simple question. But the answer to your question is absolutely! Quitting marijuana for the duration of the pregnancy can only be a benefit for your child and for you. It can cause a lot of complications during your pregnancy and can also make life difficult for your child once it's born too. Please keep us posted on what you ultimately decide and how quitting ends up going for you.
