- im in my low 30s
- i drink about 14 units of alcohol a week (mainly beer)
- i use a convection vaporizer (iolite) to smoke weed. I usually am using it nightly...once.
- for the past 2 years ive had high liver enzyme results during my annual physical...this year i was hitting more than 2x normal values.
- normal ranges for my age are 40-50, i was 110.
-i didnt tell my doc i smoked weed.
- he ordered me to do 4 weeks no booze as he suspected my beer was the cause, so i did it, but kept smoking
- 4 weeks later i test again and im 90... Still high.
- he sends me to for a ultrasound to check for non-fatty liver disease - it comes back clear and healthy (thank God)
-Hes perplexed and is about to refer me to a heptologist (liver specislist) and i admitted my habit...he basically face palmed and told me the liver is what filters the bloods toxins. Smoking = lung absorbtion = blood absorbtion = liver absorbtion
- he ordered me 6 weeks no booze AND weed
- 6 weeks later my value was 17
In my mind, the results are pretty conclusive..its the weed. Though, i didnt retest at the start of my 6 week sobriety . Im wondering does convection have anything to do with it or do all stoners walk around with high liver enzyme values? Theres so little literature out there on this stuff.

Wanna show proof bc I have seen and experienced some great things with cannabis for example I’ve seen it’s affect on Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, depression, PTSD, chronic back and knee pain, as well as cancer treatments. Cannabis is known to have properties in it that attack and kill cancer cells. I too have a liver issue and it’s being used to help my pain and as well as other medical issues I have. The proof is in the pudding I haven’t done any scientific research where I documented and wrote everything down bc #1 I’m not a dr or scientist but I do understand and have seen an Alzheimer’s patient given thc oil do a 180 after just a few weeks of treatment. I’ve seen and used it for back and knee pain myself as well as depression and ptsd. I know it’s affects and anyone who says it’s not a medicine or that it has no use other than to get you high really needs to be educated on the subject. I’m not saying that you are stupid but rather ignorant of the things you speak of

What ignorance. What does "Some research even states...." exactly mean? Can you cite credible peer reviewed references? How many people did you find in your research, that also drank / smoked tobacco. This discussion is about liver disease. I won't claim it cures anything, but it makes living with cirrhosis tolerable. Liver disease can make you feel at times like you've been hit by a bus. Vaping herb is a gift from GOD.
Alcohol and tobacco kill. Weed makes you want to binge watch something on Netflix.
