I'm so glad I read this. I'm a heavy user. I don't smoke, I'm on the volcano every night and get through 2oz a month, every month. Have done for years. I've gone past the red eye stage. I don't get red eye from weed anymore, I gather that's just tolerance. I have very strong strains 20-25% thc.
Over the last week I too have had random flashes in the right eye. A quick Google will terrify you that it's retinal dislodgement that causes this.
My fear is that the expanded blood vessels through vaping the weed has somehow caused the retina to begin to pull away. This makes perfect sense to me and I'm booked in to see an eye specialist at the hospital this week.
When im baked which is always my vision suffers but more recently its not returning to normal in the morning.
As I speak and I've not vaped tonight yet my right eye (the one with the flashes) is pretty good close up but blurry at distance.
The left I struggle to read the screen with.
I've always had perfect vision but at 46, it wouldn't surprise me if it's started to go south.
It felt over the past few days like I was having a stroke behind my left eye, a kind of numbness accompanying the blurred vision.
I've always been a huge advocate of the wonder weed but this is scaring me.
So much so that I'm laying off, and that in itself terrifies me!
It's not worth losing my eyesight over and maybe time to clean my act up and get a Memory again.
I only hope my eyesight isn't terminally ruined.
In my case it feels like it's doing some pretty bad damage now when I vape and that I fear is the calling card to stop. Eek.
