methadone to suboxone

YES YES YES WAIT IT OUT AT LEAST 72HRS SOMETIME EVEN LONGER..IM ON 76 HRS AND IM WAITING 104HRS B4 DOSING WITH SUBS

I got down to 30mgs and waited 24 hours. Then I took 1 dose of 8mgs of suboxone and had no issues except the eeby jeebies and slight chills. I have experienced precipitated withdrawals and I must say.. it was so bad I started having panic attacks! I did not experience any of this making the transition

Not true at all good fentynal and carfentynal will rip RIGHT through even 32mg of suboxone

Yes the nalaxone is only effective when injected otherwise it doesn't effect u at all (the nalaxone) although due to it binding to it receptors it may make ur hydrocodone weaker

Thank you this was so helpful I switched today I was at 40mg missed my dose yesterday started on 8mg today started to get crazy withdrawal for 2 hours then I benzod n thcd the f**k up n I feel better but Idk if that's just the benzos and pheonix tears

No ive had personal experience with this if u go into percipitated withdrawal all u have to do is take another dose of methadone an it will kick the suboxone right out

Look mate I was just as worried as you but I went down to 4mg and there is a big difference if u are switching to suboxone it has NO naloxone which is what brings on the precipated withdrawal. So if u are doing what I have just done get ur last dose Friday morning go the weekend without work and take ur first 4mg( start dose) on Monday morning and I guarantee that u won't be sick as in hanging out because suboxone isnt made to be a opiate antogonist that will flush the methadone out straight away. Instead suboxone is more like eg ur running on petrol right now but ur about to start running on diesel. I was freaking out my first dose because I used smack over the weekend just enough for me to get to Monday in comfort and once Monday come I had my first dose now over a month ago and I don't regret it at all I never felt sick instead I felt relief on the Monday when it kicked in because my body knew that it had something !which the only side effect was happiness and relied I finally jumped off the done. Know I'm not saying its easy at first cos methadone will still be competing with the beup to take control of ur opiate receptor and adjusting to however your body will be able to cope. My Dr has me on 3 Valium a day a serapax 3cattapress and avanza. With a trial of gabapentanol 300mg which I still have. U may experience a lil bit of lack of sleep. POINT IS SUBOXONE AN SUBUTEX are two compleylety different things in that one quarter of suboxone is made of naloxone which if you aren't completed into a full withdrawal you may be screwed. But ask for subutex and you will be sweet and will be glad to feel more energetic clear headed and happy to know you have come along way and that jumping off is limitless in comparing to methadone. So I hope that puts ur mind at rest and I'm coming from being on the mthdaone since 2009 and basically my whole adult life spent under its sedation without knowing how I could possibly cope with out. And for yourself and family u deserve to take the leap and find out and persevere through. Don't listen to anyone who is telling u ur fuxked cos the truth is they obviously weren't far enough into withdrawal for the nakoxone and probs not listened when they say YOU MUST BE IN WITHDRAWAL. not starting to be but in the midst of it.
My advise if its suboxone give it 3 days on 6ml instead of the normal two. If its subutex don't stress at all bro I'm still going and I'll never go back to methadone. I did it how I wanted too as well I went the weeeken without done but got a 1/5 gram of H because I knew I needed the methadone to release my opiate receptor but cos smack has a 12hr life at max decided to make it easier on the Saturday night Amd Sunday morning.
Ask Dr for subutex you will be OK just a few weeks adjusting to a different feeling.

Am Australian looking for pain relief if have any to get rid of

I hoping someone can give me some input. I am down to 15 mgs of methadone. I have been on 70 mgs for years and taper down to 15 mgs. I want off of this stuff for good. I have changed my life for the good. I have new friends, good family support, starting doing college classes, and my children. What I want info on is since I got down to 15 mgs of methadone can I wait 72 hours and then do beuphnmorphine for a couple days to help get through the withdrawal symptoms? Or do I then have to taper down the beuphnmorphine also. I am only going to do very little of the beuphnmorphine just enough to not feel to bad.

Read a bunch of messages..I was on methodone for 4yrs at -120mg a day..my weight and health collapsed. I was healthy athletic and in good shape my entire life. Methadone is no joke people..ITS JUST NOT!! Don't go unless it's your absolute last resort and find a sub doctor as soon as possible because once your on methadone you will eventually rely on it and it WILL break you down just like any other opiate does. BUT methadone is soooo hard to get off. I have kids and a fiancé that are wonderful and supportive so I'm doing it finally and yeah the last 5 days were frickin horrible but I'm out the clinic and on to a sub doc and I WILL make this work. I took a sub early and it made me feel terrible, I finally got over the jump and have taken subutex 3 doses. It took away the major withdrawals but hasn't gave me energy like it did before. I start my suboxone tom. And hopefully it will get me back to my energetic happy self again. If I can do it so can you. I'm a little b***h with withdrawal so that's why I say if I can you can..one love

Oh and I didn't slowly come down I just decided I couldn't do the methadone thing another day, I just didn't want to anymore..so I stopped going once I got my sub doc.

Omg yes u are right. I'm on 150mg of methadone my friend gave me a 8mg sub. I had it for a couple of weeks. I only go to the methadone twice a week. And in Friday's I pick up for the week. Anyways one of my methadone spilled in my box. Long story.short I said to myself will I got a sub 8mg..so I took 4mg. I took it around 2.3000pm and by 3.00 I was in full detox

How long where you on methadone before cutting down and switching? Thanks

Not true.. methadone sicknes IMO is a thousands time worse then coming off heroin!
