Ok a lot of these are very possibly just dehydration or at worst urinary tract infections which can happen without having sex. Take a short course of ofloxacin (7-14 days) or another simple antibiotic at minimal dose twice a day for guys and girls and guys go check out your prostate in case the infection has spread there in which case treatment is four weeks. Of course if there is some kind of discharge or skin rash or bumps or swelling it is safest to get examined at your nearest medical facility, just in case (of course this does not apply to virgins since it is STD related). Try lubrication when you jack off, consider circumcision (for guys) and all in all, try to be as hygienic as you can down there. Go on a detox diet of fruits and vegetables and vitamin supplements along with a healthy dose of protein and cranberry juice. You should be fine in no time.

I found the answer for me anyway. It only happens when I had jalapeno peppers within 4 days. I'm not kidding. And to test it, I waited two weeks, had a pepper on my burger, and wham, it was back. Tried it again with the same results. I now stay away from them ... 5 months and no problems.

My question. I woke up this morning and I peed just fine but it did burning at the very end of the urination. For the past last 6 hours, each time I pee, It hurts ( I think I'm describing this right) In my uretha toward the center of the penis. I masturbated, and there is nothing comining out (Dry orgasm). Any one would like to explain what's going on? I've had 4-5 glasses of water today so far (I thought it might be dehydration) and It's stil hurts when I pee. It is a mild/moderate pain and It did burn when I reached orgasm. What might be the cause to that? (I'm also 20)

Hey gentlemen,
I realize It's about time I posted my findings on this topic considering I've dealt with it since I was 13 or so (since I started masturbating).

1. You do not have an STD (but you should always get checked!). If you are dealing with the same problem I am, relax. Take a deep breath, its all OK.

2. What you may be dealing with is a rare but not a unique problem. Apparently after ejaculating your "tubes" get crossed up a little, and get enflamed. They essentially get swollen and it'll hurt pretty bad. The problem area can range from the tip of the penis to the base, usually on the underside. Urinating and even attempting to drop a deuce will relieve pain temporarily, which I'll discuss in a minute.

3. HOW TO PREVENT: It seems from years of testing myself that this problem occurs primarily when drinking. What does drinking do? It dehydrates you. I have absolutely had the problem without alcohol involved, but I have always been thirsty. In fact, I just got done with a lady friend and had the problem occur and am parched. That is what reminded me that others may be suffering, so hopefully I can help you. Pretty much if you can avoid it, don't drink and have sex. Never masturbate after intoxicated or dehydrated, it will only hurt in the end.

3A. Empty you bladder and bowels before sex/anything else. If you are already in pain, you'll notice that it'll feel good while going, but then hurt worse after. I never know if it is better to empty when hurting then begin the healing or to hold it in. This is your choice.

4. Most of you are probably dealing with it right now. I googled for hours while I was hurting, so hopefully you'll find this somehow. TAKE ADVIL/IBUPROFEN immediately. This will decrease inflammation, and no matter what your as****e friend says, it will not hurt you if you have been drinking. Advil is safe to occasionally take during or after drinking.

5. Next step is important: Try not to think about it. I've tried everything from sticking the whole thang in a glass of ice water to hot/cold showers. That will all make it worse. Time and relaxation is key. Turn on your TV, Ipod or radio and relax. Read or write. Next thing you know, it's gone. The more you stress the longer it will last. Relax every muscle in your body. Go to sleep when it dies down and you'll feel fresh in the morning.

6. You're not alone. Thousands of men suffer from this, and if you explain it carefully to a significant other, they will eventually understand. Make sure they know that when it does happen, the night of passion must be put off. There can't be a round two. Trust me, it will only build on the pain. If they love you, they will understand.

7. Only you can understand yourself. If I have an equal amount of water and alcohol in a night, I'm typically good to go. Experiment to find your personal boundaries. You're going to live a full and happy sex life once you know.

I hope you find this helpful in your time of need. God knows I would've loved to know what I know now 10 years ago.

23 M and drunk. Same problem right here. I ejaculated, felt the pain. Made along trip to the bathroom with intermittent urine. I have had it before and it usually goes away, but this time it hurt a lot more than usual. So I tried ejaculating again. It soothed the pain temporarily. Then it came back. Now I feel the urge to urinate. I hope it doesn't sting. If I were to describe the feeling, it's like a stingy burn. Definitely not itchy.

It is probably just a mild infection, not serious and relatively common (especially you guy who uses dirty cloth... use a clean one really). Drinking cranberry juice should work. If it continues for a prolonged amount of time or occurs regularly consult your doctor.

Most men have this problem after masturbation rather than intercourse because during sex you pre-cum which is your bodies way of clearing your penis of urine and to lubricate. During masturbation pre-cum is usually not present long enough to cleans your urethra causing semen to partially solidify in the penis causing irritation. This is due to liquid in urine possibly water notice how semen partially solidifies when you masturbate in the shower. Glad to try and help no one likes a problem with their dong. haha

Honestly i thinks the problem is just the semen needing to have enough time to completely clear out even though you ejaculate. Maybe some guy's pee holes are smaller than others and when you ejaculate it compresses the semen hole against it and maybe shuts it a little. I mean.. from my own experiances when i piss after ejaculating it burns sometimes (usually after waiting a good while about half hour to and hour or longer) but if it push it (more comfortably letting it out little bits at a time) it goes away after a little while and i finish pissing pain free. Some Common Sense Aye? And no im not canadian

I had this problem for many years (occasional burning penis, frequent burning after sex/masturbation - especially after drinking beer). Very painful and often embarrassing. Got checked out for STDs - nothing. Then earlier this year I started reading about acid/alkaline balance in the body, and noticed that beer (along with wine, coffee, soft drinks, vinegar and many others) is very acid. I'd already heard that semen is mildly alkaline, so I figured that passing acidic urine after coming might be the cause of the burning.

So I started taking a spoonful of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda - very alkaline) mixed in a small glass of water before starting to drink beer, and especially before sex. Instant result! No more burning. The nightmare was over.

Only two problems now: (i) remembering to take the baking soda, (ii) the baking soda only lasts a few hours, so if you're out drinking for longer you'll need a second dose.
