Hey gentlemen,
I realize It's about time I posted my findings on this topic considering I've dealt with it since I was 13 or so (since I started masturbating).
1. You do not have an STD (but you should always get checked!). If you are dealing with the same problem I am, relax. Take a deep breath, its all OK.
2. What you may be dealing with is a rare but not a unique problem. Apparently after ejaculating your "tubes" get crossed up a little, and get enflamed. They essentially get swollen and it'll hurt pretty bad. The problem area can range from the tip of the penis to the base, usually on the underside. Urinating and even attempting to drop a deuce will relieve pain temporarily, which I'll discuss in a minute.
3. HOW TO PREVENT: It seems from years of testing myself that this problem occurs primarily when drinking. What does drinking do? It dehydrates you. I have absolutely had the problem without alcohol involved, but I have always been thirsty. In fact, I just got done with a lady friend and had the problem occur and am parched. That is what reminded me that others may be suffering, so hopefully I can help you. Pretty much if you can avoid it, don't drink and have sex. Never masturbate after intoxicated or dehydrated, it will only hurt in the end.
3A. Empty you bladder and bowels before sex/anything else. If you are already in pain, you'll notice that it'll feel good while going, but then hurt worse after. I never know if it is better to empty when hurting then begin the healing or to hold it in. This is your choice.
4. Most of you are probably dealing with it right now. I googled for hours while I was hurting, so hopefully you'll find this somehow. TAKE ADVIL/IBUPROFEN immediately. This will decrease inflammation, and no matter what your as****e friend says, it will not hurt you if you have been drinking. Advil is safe to occasionally take during or after drinking.
5. Next step is important: Try not to think about it. I've tried everything from sticking the whole thang in a glass of ice water to hot/cold showers. That will all make it worse. Time and relaxation is key. Turn on your TV, Ipod or radio and relax. Read or write. Next thing you know, it's gone. The more you stress the longer it will last. Relax every muscle in your body. Go to sleep when it dies down and you'll feel fresh in the morning.
6. You're not alone. Thousands of men suffer from this, and if you explain it carefully to a significant other, they will eventually understand. Make sure they know that when it does happen, the night of passion must be put off. There can't be a round two. Trust me, it will only build on the pain. If they love you, they will understand.
7. Only you can understand yourself. If I have an equal amount of water and alcohol in a night, I'm typically good to go. Experiment to find your personal boundaries. You're going to live a full and happy sex life once you know.
I hope you find this helpful in your time of need. God knows I would've loved to know what I know now 10 years ago.
