so in every article I am reading online the writer seems to contradict themselves, that or i am misunderstanding what they are saying. I missed an active pill in my 2nd week on my very first pack of pills after switching from the nuva ring. I am trying to find out if I am protected without using another form of birthcontrol. Here is what the sites are saying....

If you miss one"active" pill, take the dose as soon as you remember or take two pills at the time of your next regularly scheduled dose. You do not need to use backup birth control.

yet, if you read on just a little bit...

If you miss a pill, you may become pregnant if you have sex in the 7 days after your missed pill. You MUST use another birth control method (such as condoms or spermicides) as a back-up for those 7 days

so... do i used another form of bc? or no?
I was always told if you miss one pill, take two the next day and carry on as usual. If you miss two pills, take them at the same time and use backup protection for about a week, but if you miss two pills, you may get some breakthru bleeding and your period may start. If you miss three pills, stop the pack, let your period start, then start a new pack as usual.
If you took your missed pills, i wouldn't be to concerned, it was only 1.
I would hate to say carry on unprotected, but i remember missing pills at times and i was okay.
