My bladder was also stuck to my uterus but the doctor still took my entire uterus, which is what yours should have done. It did weaken the tissue on my bladder so bacteria kept getting absorbed into my bladder from my abdomen causing me to have bladder infections for almost 2 months.... But, besides that, I've been blood free and, most importantly, pain free up until now. I'm starting to feel some cramping and soreness like I'm about to have a period. im hoping it's just gas cause I'll be so disappointed if I start bleeding. I do no feel that after having a hysterectomy you should ever bleed again! It should be that little gift for having to go through surgery!

I had a history of fibroids and endometriosis. Found a grapefruit size growth on right ovary. She removed everything calling me a "ticking timebomb". A friend whose cervix was left in with her ovaries was told by nurses that a lot of women like that come back with cervical cancer. She had it removed. It is no longer viable tissue since the uterus is gone and can turn bad. I wonder if the same isn't true with ovaries left in?

Milk of magnesia helps. I had subtotal hysterectomy 7 weeks ago. It was recommended by doc. Amd helped prevent binding eased constipation. Which is really helpful.

I have the same issue and my dr explained it could be vaginal scar tissue causing the bleeding. It boggles my mind though

I am sorry to hear that you too are going through this terrible phase. I had my hysterectomy with uterus and cervix removed in 2013 but had periods every month. By mid 2015, there was immense pain with backache and cramps too. I also began bleeding almost throughout the month. I had developed ovarian cysts which were releasing blood everytime. I developed unexplained fever in September and November 2015 which led to my hospitalisation. The only recourse was to get another surgery done- this time open cut surgery. The previous one was a laparoscopic surgery. I had a major surgery in Dec 2015 and the doctor removed my ovaries too.
Since then, I have been well and no bleeding or pain at all.
I wish you a speedy solution to your ordeal. Maybe another surgery to remove your ovaries is what I would recommend. and do go in for an open surgery. My best wishes.

I just had a hysterectomy 5 months ago. I had the tubes, uterus, and cervix removed. I was advised by my doctor not to leave the cervix because going back into surgery just to remove the cervix would be really difficult. I have not experience any bleeding since the day of my surgery. I had it done at L BJ hospital in Houston TX.

Yes you can. I had three surgeries already and only have one overy left. I feel great and i dont get a period anymore for the last year. Its been great without the pain and I'm living my life way better. Don't give up hope and if you call the surgeons office where it was done. Oh don't need another referral from your doctor. You just make an appointment with the surgeons office. They will check you over and sometimes book you for a surgery again if needed.
