i had sex on two days after my period. i took the pill within 30mins of having sex. two week later. i had an abnormal period. just blood, no symptoms. i suppose to have my period after this month. so far i am a week like. i am also starting to have side effects from the pill. i have an early second period. so, i think i am not pregnant. it was a lot of blood in that early period. a badt can not survive that. i am getting small tiny cramps on/in my cervix. waiting on my period. just waiting.. not worried tho.
Hello,
I have the same issue. Or at least I think this is the cause. My last period was April 29, I took the morning after pill last week. Today.. .17 days later from my last period... it started again today :/ The flow is about the same.. the cramps isn't as intense as it usually is.. now I know why I feel so fatigued.
It's better that I should make an appointment to get on regular birth control :/
Go visit your OB/Gyn.... Good Luck to you.
Hey,
This was my experience - five years ago I took the morning after pill. Had an early period.
The the following month I had unprotected sex (so stupid!! - I was very young) but I thought it would be ok as it was two days before my period was due and my friend told me that she didn't use contraception but just avoided having sex mid month.
I was pregnant.
I think this must have been due to the morning after pill messing up my cycle. If you took the morning after pill, got a light period and then the second one was late, and you haven't had any other unprotected sex then I'm sure everything is fine.
Pregnancy tests, in my experience after two weeks after the unprotected sex, are really reliable - so try not to worry too much.
But I do appreciate that rational thought during such a panicky time is difficult, so arrange to see a doctor :)
Hope this helps anyone struggling! :)
I'm really worried and am wondering if anyone can help! About three and a half months ago I was having sex and the condom came off inside me, so I took the morning after pill about 10-15 hours afterwards. My period came as normal about a week or so after this and then the next month came again fine and I still didn't notice any difference in my mood or my hormones or my period pattern caused by this pill. But now it has been nearly two months since I had a period and I'm soo worried I'm pregnant! I took a pregnancy test last week and it showed negative but since then I still haven't had my period. All the comments on here seem to indicate the morning after pill makes you bleed more frequently...are the side effects of the morning after pill similiar for everybody? Is it possible that these are delayed effects of the morning after pill or if not what else it could be? Sorry to ask so many frantic questions I'm just really worried and can't find anyone in the same circumstance! :S
you are not pregnant; you took it in enough time; just be careful lil girl; if you play with fire, sometimes you get burned...im old
I have a similar experience. I'd only been on nuvaring for 4 days so I used Plan B an hour after sex just to be 100%. I took out the nuvaring 2 days later b/c it kept trying to come out, and because I wouldn't be having sex for another 2 months. A day later, I started bleeding lightly nearly spotting, a week before my period usually comes. Some panic set in.
Now a month later around the time my period should be here, it's not. It's actually 3 days late. Over the past month, I took 5 blue cross pregnancy tests, (The cheap ones you can get off amazon.) and they've all come up negative. I've hardly been having pregnancy symptoms and b/c I've been in a position before where I thought I was preg but wasn't, I've ignored all the would-be symptoms and gone on with my life.
My fears only started coming back now that my period is nowhere to be found, but this forum topic has saved my life. I'm super grateful that I'm not the only one. Smh, I should've done more research on Plan B.
I took the MAP and got my period a day early on day 26. It was my normal 3 days. Then I got my next period 20 days later but it was normal. Then I got my third period 23 days after that and I am now on day 23 of my period with no sign of it stopping. My periods before MAP were every 27 days like clockwork and lasted 3 days. I have never had any problems before. I can only assume this is down to the MAP. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow as I feel as though it is never going to stop and I can't understand how the side affects are being felt on the 3rd cycle after. The blood is light and 2/3rds of it has been that awful brown stuff you tend to get at the end of a period. It is unpleasant to say the least. Whilst I am grateful not to be pregnant, I now vow never to get myself in the position where I have to take the MAP again.
