i have the same problem and just found out that if the discharge is Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

I read that its normal to have thick white slimy or sticky discharge and a lot of it when you are ovulating.. it means your most fertile at that time... as long as its not itchy smelly or off color it should be normal.. look up ovulation mucus on google

Hi, i'm fifteen, i haven't had my period, and i'm still a virgin.
I've had this for a little over a year now, (it has some what of an odor, nothing noticable i hope! its white-ish in colour, sometimes an off-white colour) there hasn't been a day when i haven't had it and its driving me totally insane.
It's really frustrating, and i wish my body was different.

--Come to think of it, i hardly eat healthy foods, (mmmm mcdonalds) so i will try that.

I hope this doesn't last forever, cause i might have to hurt someone :-)

I would really appreciate it if anyone had any other suggestions for this, i dont want to sound over dramatic, but its RUINING MY LIFE. haha.

I am 28 and have been with my husband since I was 16. Neither of us have ever had an STD. I have had the same thing as all of you happening over the past few months. I spoke with my gynecologist about it and she said that I don't have a yeast infection or an STD but that mine is caused from one of two things. The first thing is that it could be due to a weak immune system in which case I need to start taking pro-biotics. They can be purchased from GNC or from most herb shops. The other reason could be from stress or hormone changes. She said that when a woman is under sudden or extreme stress, it causes our hormone levels to change and our body will respond accordingly. I have been under an extreme amount of stress lately but I went and bought the pro-biotics yesterday in hopes that it will help.

Also, if there is an odor that comes with the discharge, go to your doctor! It will not have a bad or strong smell if it's something simple.
Good luck to everyone.

Damn it... I was hoping to find the solution here, a quick fix or something. I'm 21, and I've had the same discharge since I hit puberty... As of the past few months, though, it's gotten worse, thicker, slimier, and comes in larger quantities. Gross. Well, I've been under a lot of stress lately, so I see that. And I also don't eat very healthily, so there's another thing. I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem.

I had this problem as well for years, i found out when you are ovulating your discharge will be much thicker and a string like stretchy consistency. Most women ovulate up to 14 days after their period. There could be many reasons for vaginal discharge, but most of the time it is normal. Especially if it is clear. I wouldnt worry much unless it starts turning colors or is painful. Another reason for an increased amount of discharge is being pregnant. Obviously though if you're a virgin, you dont have to worry about that. I myself had this discharge problem for years, and didnt get my firs natural period until i was 16, after that, i ended up pregnant. I am now 21 years old, and am pregnant with my second child. I have never gotten my periods regularly. I had to start them off when i was younger with birth control pills. So maybe its just something to do with our bodies developing when we are younger. I hope ive helped a little!

When the doctor told me I was ovulating, I laughed.
Happy that it wasn't anything serious.
But, I thought I was getting ready for menapause. lol

I have the same situations and I am 22... it seems to be almost every day though... so I don't see how it has anything to do with my menstral cycle... I don't have health insurance so I can't really afford to go to the doctor to get it checked out... If it a a "normal" thing... why does it happen so often and is there any way that I can get it to lessen... it's super annoying! I shouldn't have to go through 2 -3 panties daily... and I get a rash from wearing light days daily... plus I don't really like the light cramps daily in my lower abdomen... can anyone give me some advice? PLEASE?
