Ok, so..My boyfriend was on a business trip. If the factors are relevant he spent a lot of time sitting, little time bathing over a twenty four hour period while working. He is circumcised..But when he came home, he had some redness mostly on the left side of his scrotum, where it appeared to look like the sort of chafing people might sometimes get on the inside of their thighs when they get heat rash. However upon closer examination I noticed that not only did the veins on the left side of his scrotum seem larger or more prominant than usual, it also seemed somewhat lumpy on that side. He had no pain what so ever however, and didn't seem very concerned. The next day a lot of the irritation and seeming swelling was gone. We had sex, and when he came I noticed that as opposed to spurting, his ejaculation was heavy like normal, but just sort of oozed out, if that makes any sense. The following day, while his testicles seem better [still some faint 'lumpy' appearance on the left side], he has some swelling behind the head of his penis, and along the main vein down the side of the shaft. Again he says he has no pain at the actual site, but he does have some tenderness to the lymph nodes in the pelvic area. Now, mind you..He and I both have genital herpes, but neither of us have ever had anything but the standard few sores that are described, nor were we in a break out at the time. This is something different. I've read about different types of infections and whatnot, but nothing quite matches. I know herpes CAN cause the tenderness in the pelvic lymph nodes, but general swelling or irritation without presence of sores doesn't seem to be considered in most definitions of the disease. I am worried, but I think he's embarrassed about going to the doctor, so I thought I'd see if anyone had any suggestions of things I could research...I know we shouldn't have had sex, but you know how guys can be ^.- Anyhow, any help would be great thanks. By the way, I don't have any abnormalities currently seen and am feeling fine.
only thing i can think of is seeing a doctor
