I have the same on my right top shoulder is bigger than my left , i went to the doctor and he said that i had a Lipoma on my right side upper back near the should blade.

Lipomas are fatty tissues and he also said that many times people have the right side larger than the left, now this was my primary doctor and surgeon that told me that.

i do sometimes have pain i will be going back to see another doctor soon.

Mine is on the left side. It is obviously larger than the other and looks like half of a marble. It is not painful though. There is nothing really painful even if I press it hard enough. It feels just enlarged joint and nothing more. I sleep on my left side and I carry my bag on my right side as well. I think these habits add up to this problem. Besides, I also do feel pain on the joints of my left hand. This could be psoriatic arthritis so I think I should find cure for this to solve all problems related thereto.

I also have this problem. I am 16 years old and my right coller bone sticks out much farther then my left. It's not in any pain, unless you push on it. I havnt seen a doctor but I have had calcium build ups before, should I even bother going to see a doctor?

-> Daz what i also wz looking for as i'm going through the same problem but the difference z da my right one z slightly more outrushed than da of my left... Well it z not painful but a little irritating as i feel some kind of load placed on my right shoulder. I didnt consult any doctor as it z not serious and obviously i know the cause da did it... It happened due to the imbalance in doing gym, as i would do it by my own without any trainer.. Due to the unprofessinal gym the imbalance was felt in my lower ribs also as the left lower rib has came out more than the right one... Nw what is the solution for this problem.. Well gym is the cause as well as the solution and the treatment but when done under the supervison of any professional os some trainer... This is realy gona help and get the mess back to normal. I am now doing the same and the results are very good..¤

hi there. I know it's been a long time, but I just wanted to ask if you've even regained the right bone alignment to your problem. My left collarbone is sticking further up my throat than my right and it's been causing me pain in the head, throat and side of my neck. The bone doesn't really give me much pain, it's just the area around it that feels tight and aching. Just like you, the lump in my throat started out as small but overtime, now it's sticking really up my throat and the doctors, x-ray keep saying that they couldn't see what's wrong with it and often just give me NSAID meds which btw are not helping. I'm really scared that it might be dislocation, but then I read your post and that got me into thinking if maybe we are the same. I have really bad posture before and tend to slouch to my right, always using my right side and am guessing that my bones overtime realigned themselves. That's possible right? I also sometimes feel pain in my left hip and my left rib seems larger and higher than the right too, and the left side of my back as well does have it's occasional pain, especially when I try to stand or sit using the right posture now. It's the bone sticking to my throat that I'm worried about though.

Same here, but when I was about 3 I dislocated my collar bone. I only noticed it recently that it sticks out. My uncle has the same problem after he broke it, one shoulder sinks more than the other.

I urge you and everyone to look at this website. It is one of the only website that I have found that really gets into this issue of what can happen to your body over time from different poor postural habits. I have been trying to get back into a correct posture, my hips are tilted one direction, my shoulders another, my collar bone still sticks out but I have finally figured out the reasons and I have improved it quite a bit. I am convinced I will be able to completely heal myself. I should really take before and after photos. Anyways, look at this website and keep clicking the "forge ahead" button. It will show pictures of people whose sternums stick out or stick in, and people whose right or left shoulders have come stick out, etc. I found the information to be very helpful for me and I think many people who have this issue would too.

Okay, after a couple years of research and trying a lot of things that didn't work, i really hope you take my advice if you think posture has anything to do with your misalignment (thats all it is! :) ) Research Rolfing. Google "the rolf institute" and learn about it. Find the closest one to you and dont waste any time scheduling. I found one near me and I am going to start sessions as soon as possible. I think I'm going to need the whole 10. i am so crooked and uncomfortable. I feel like a young old person. I think my issue has gotten so bad I need the extra help to get straightened out. I have definitely improved jsut by trying to improve my posture, but so many years of that posture and my body is too weak to hold a correct neutral posture. My ribs are much more even than they were a year ago. I think the rolfing is going to speed up my healing process. I hope it helps you, i will keep posted on my results!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK ALL!

Hi, I would absolutely bet that your problem is posture. Even if you feel like you are standing straight, your spine is probably not exactly where it should be. Maybe the weight lifting was helping keep you in alignment and now your body is shifting. Its a gradual thing, it happened to me and I am pretty thin too. What you gotta do is look up ROLFING. Find the nearest rolfer in your area and make an appointment. I have had two appointments and it is somewhat painful but very helpful.. they are trained to massage your muscles that contribute to posture and help you move your body back into proper alignment, otherwise known as your "vertical line." If you are on your vertical line you you will be amazed at how much more energy you have and that fatigue will go away too. You will be able to breathe MUCH better. Diet and Movement are extremely important to our health, a lot of people overlook the movement part. Once your spine starts to move, your whole body suffers. I am only 26 and I was having breathing problems, depression, fatigue, bones sticking out on my left side... i didnt realize it was because my body was actually twisted, i was holding myself in a way that was extremely hard on me! We operate the best when we are in alignment, its how our bodys were designed to thrive. Back pain, neck pain-- none of it is necessary, if you know about posture and distributing your weight evenly. Think about if youve had any injuries in your life, maybe recently before these bones started sticking out? Injuries to knees, ankles, tailbone, head/neck, hips? If you arent standing on your feet correctly, the rest of yur posture wont be right either. I really hope you look into this, because I can almost guarantee it will help you HUGELY! Good luck:) :) :) Love and light, -another twisted body!

I got the same issue on my right collar bone as for me i fell in the kitchen which caused it....i have no pain at all but it hurts from time to time when i sleep on it .

my orthopedic  told me just to leave it as it is as long as it doesn't hurt,he did X-ray to make sure there is no broken bone or anything ....the funny part he got the same thing as i do he fell while he was biking...so guys check your shoulder with your doctor...if it doesn't hurt you are good ...the problem though when we get older we may get a pain there which require pain pills or shots...

All the best to all of us and try to live healthy and pay attention don't fall.

I have it too. My doctor says its because of a mild scoliosis in my back (when your spine is slightly bent) I have to strectch my back out which will also put things back into place. Hope this helps.

no, see a rolfer, massage therapist, or someone that can help you get your posture back on track. You're getting twisted, thats whats goin on in most off these cases. It is 100% reversible with dedication and understanding, and it will safe you so much future discomfort and pain in your years ahead if you take care if this now. This has probably been a gradual thing that has happened over time. But we arent born with one side of our bodies sticking out further (if you are than thats a whole other thing goin on with you) it happens over time based on the way we are moving our bodies. Do youself a big favor and research rolfing or divine straightening.. research posture, figure out whats goin on with you.. get into yoga, stretch, get in tuuuuned with your body:) youll be very glad you did. I sure am. Spread the word!

remember that scoliosis is reversible. A twisted spine causes a domino effect of other illnesses, it is one of the most important things you can do to keep yourself healthy- keep that spine straight, or learn to get it more straight. Make it a mission, its doable. I also have scoliosis but am slowly straightening it out, as many others have done too. Dont go to the doctors, because they are not trained in preventative medicine they are trained in surgery and writing prescriptions... you're going to want to go a more natural route. Good luck to you;)
