So, any neighbors who may have an issue with your kids yelling, shouting, and screaming all the time, invading their serenity, because YOU are unable to control them or teach them to have some respect and courtesy for others around them, are the "unenlightened and ignorant ones"?

My neighbors' kids scream all the time, too. My mom didn't allow us to scream at play. She said that if we really needed help, no one would pay attention.

I am sure the parents are trying to do something about the screaming. No parent enjoys hearing their child scream. It's not all about you.
Maybe children are screaming so much because people are failing to teach them not to. Do people realize that screaming absolutely ruins the vocal cords?
That's what I do. My neighbours child is about 4-5 years. And screams. Throwing tantrums all hours of the day night whenever all week long. And no I don't have children but that does not mean I don't know that some can be loud my cousin with two little children stayed with us for 3 years. We helped take care of them and yes they were loud busy wild full of energy but never a nuisance. The best of all when you make a noise or my dogs bark because their kids are making a noise the parents are quick to complain.
You may think you have special privileges as a parent of an autistic kid. No you don't. Yes, it's hard to raise them. But they're your kids, and no one else should share the burden of raising your kids. Having an autistic child does not mean that you get to ignore social norms. Your child can not cause a nuisance to the neighborhood, and all you have to say is: he's autistic, I deserve a medal!

I get young kids screaming and playing but what about 12, 13 year old kids who scream non stop...all day and into the night. This seems rude. Sometimes I think they are in trouble and I go check and then they get snarky like I was bothering them.
I would take an awful lot of delight watching annoying brats play in a sandbox with cat poo in it!!!

I agree, children are a plague on the earth because there a too many and the vast majority will grow up uneducated and then produce more environmental disasters of their own. Listen to comedian Doug Stanhope or Bill Hicks, they have the best opinions regarding this. Might help.

Furthermore, parents are supposed to teach their children how to modulate their voice so that they use it only at the level needed for the situation. Playing does not need screaming, hence it's inappropriate.
If the kids don't learn, then parents discipline the kids and explain what behavior is rewarded (ie: quietness)
Furthermore, to help exhaust a child's natural energy, parents need to take their children to a park, playground, or nature area so they *CAN* run around in an appropriate setting.
It's not hard.
It's just tiring.
But you sign up for it the moment you decide you want to be a parent.

Why do that to dogs when you can do that to kids? I can handle canines better than children. Besides, I'd send anyone who abuses barking dogs into orbit if I could due to my favoritism to animals over humans.
