Hi, I am into my 4th week after my open hemorrhoidectomy (Milligan-Morgan) and I’m also having real difficulty with expelling stools. I have to do many bowel movements in the past week each day before I can expel a lot. And each time it takes so much pushing that I end up in sweats. I also am very worried about whether I’m going to have Haemorrhoids again. Did this condition improve for you over time or did you have to go for the anal dilation procedure? Is it advisable to do manual dilation at this stage of the recovery ?
My doctor thinks it is part of the healing and that when the granulation of the healing tissue settles, I should be more back to normal but I’m worried as I don’t see any improvement so far each day.

Thank you so much for telling about the stenosis surgery. I am post hemorrhoidechtomy six weeks and having the tiny opening which I can get maybe a teaspoon to tablespoon of BM out in tiny strips. I am worried out of my mind because the pain has been so awful. Hoping Things improve soon.
I had the surgery onout 14 month after wards I was not bi00g enough to push poop out so I had to buy a dildo & use it on myself my wife likes to help with this so I let her it works
