brother i m facing this problem now a days . after one and half month of my surgery hemorridectomy .can u plz tell me what procedure he used to correct it > i mean flap surgery or sphinterotmy?
I had anal dilation under anesthesia. No cutting. There was the possibility of the flap surgery (anoplasty) if the dilation wasn't successful, but luckily it was. My doctor says everything is "wide open" now, but I still don't feel like I'm back to normal. I don't know how much of that is mental for me though. But it is a LOT better than it was and I have hopes that eventually I'll stop being paranoid every morning about what my BM will be like. I had my hemorrhoid surgery a year ago.
try squatting instead of sitting when you go to toilet, it works for me!

Where does one find this gel?
Hey I'm having the exact same issue and I got inspired by your story and will try the same - the anal plug that is. Did it solve the problem completely? For how long did you have to use it and how often?
I would really like to hear the end of the story!

I had 2 surgeries for hemmeroids (THD) about a year and a half ago. The second was by far the worst. And was out of work for a total of 8 weeks for both (last one 5 weeks). Yes there is a definite narrowing and stools are like pencils. I have more difficulty now going than prior to surgery. Will be going back as I think I have the stenosis.
i had surgery for hemmoroids one week ago, i was swollen closed! no way could i go to the bathroom. so i used hemmoroid ointment 3 different times to have a bowel movement, along with stool softners . The swelling finally going down and I can have small painful bowel movements, and am hopeful now since swelling has gone down....and by the way I had the old fashion hemorroid surgery.I was going in to have the stapple surg, but the DR.told me the FDA had just pulled the stapple gun surg off the market, since a patient or patients had had a bad responce to it!(so if u had staple surg u might want to find out from a lawyer why it was taken off the market as of 4-6-2016)
i had my hemmorhoidectomy last september 8, 2016. after the surgery, i suffered already of narrowing my anus (anal stenosis). i went back to my surgeon and i undergo dilation procedure. but after weeks, the progress is very minimal and it's very painful. so this coming dec. 13, 2016 i am scheduled to another surgery to loosen my narrow opening.
What happened after you discovered stenosis? Did it get corrected?
Who was your surgeon?
Hello just a few comments if you are self dilating the anus with finger or butt plug:
You should not be causing yourself excruciating pain doing this if you want good results. High pain = tensed muscles whuch causes more pain and spasm of the round muscle of the anus=even more pain. You could also cause micro tears in tissue which could increase chance of infection & STDs.
1)Apply a numbing cream like RectiCare 5% 15 -20 minutes to anus to allow it to numb before you insert object
2) Apply good amount of lubricating gel like KY jelly to both the anus and the object
3) Try to have several sizes. Always start with the smallest diameter size and increase the size of inserted object slowly over a few weeks. It takes time&patience but can be successful in helping prevent damage & need for surgery. Good luck..

How many weeks did it take for the first surgery to heal..
Im on 8 week now.
My anus is so tight i cant insert even my finger in side...
Bms are soft. With blood.
Surgeon booked me for surgery again in the next two weeks.
I still have pain after bm. And Hemrroids external. Scared as this first surgery was not pleasant. Lots of pain.
Large internal hemorrhoids removed may have come back..I don't know but i feel like I've been kicked in the butt. N every day i have throbbing pain for hours..
Plz tell me the second time will be easier.

I would not suggest an additional surgery, with the exception of dilation under Anesthesia . I am in week eight also and have recently had severe constipation, with no relief even following the surgical dilation. I also use dilators daily)I guess I should say I have used them for three days). I have become extremely depressed and regret the surgery so much. Excuse my grammatical errors, I am using voice recognition.
