I had my gall bladder removed over three months ago, and I, too, am still suffering from nausea. Nausea, by the way, was my main symptom before I found out that I had a diseased gall bladder. I thought all the nausea would disappear after having the surgery but I was wrong. I have some good days but the nausea always starts to creep back in after a few days. I am hoping to hear from someone who had this same problem but after time it went away. I get very depressed when I feel this way, because I feel like it will be this way for the rest of my life. I have had every other test done and everything is normal. I'm hoping it's just my body trying to readjust, but no doctor will admit this for some reason. I relate mostly to dannyj, seems like I have all of the same symptoms. Now that it's been a few more months, dannyj, have you started feeling better?
hello i just read the article you posted about your problems with your gall bladder removel. i realize that you posted this a couple years ago. your story describes my issues too the T. i am curious too know how you are doing at this time.. Has your nausea gotten any better. Do you have any suggestions that may help me cope with this? Anything may help! Is there any hope?
thanks, shawn
I too have just had my gallbladder removed and am still suffering the same nausea as before the surgery---it has been 18 days for me---went to my gastro doctor who put me on two prilosec a day and a drug called carafate---I hope it helps---when did you get over your nausea and how?

did they run other tests on you before your surgery? did you have gallstones or a non-functioning gallbladder? They detected mine with the HIDA scan ----i had a low ejection factor----I had been having constant nausea for 3 weeks---couldn't eat---now I am three weeks post op and I still can't eat---I am 5'2" and weigh 105---I lost 11 pounds in a month and a half----what is metoproclomide? ---have you lost weight?
How old are you? I wonder why your doctor has chosen to do another endoscope----did he do one before your sugery? I had one and they found mild gastritis and my surgeon says this can cause constant nausea---he has me on prilosec and carafate for 6 days now---I really don't feel any better---i had a barium small bowel test today and will get the results tomorrow---even with all the tools I know I am very afraid right now too....blessings to you---I hope you write back---
