I'm a 33 year old man and I have been experiencing nose twitching for about 3 weeks now. It happens every day... even in my sleep. It's the upper bridge of my nose. I can't control it and I would love for it to go away. Anyone have any suggestions?

Definately STRESS! I've moved, changed job locations and living in a hotel 1/2 my life, got engaged, child went into the military... and now the side of my nose is twitching. It's been going on for a few months now. It is certainly driving me nuts but I'm pretty sure I don't have Tourets. We need to find ways to cope with the annoyance and lower our stress levels.

Thank you, i was getting terrified, i recently started having the nose twitching, and logged on here to see if i could find out what it was, i have been really stressed lately and thought that it could be causing it, along with the headaches. Thank you again for your input on here..

It always pisses me off when people just jump to the conclusion that spasms are stress. Sure it could be stress. But if this is something thats not normal to you and has been going on for an extended period (I'm talking more than a month). Than it's probably not just stress. It could be many things, from increased intracranial pressure, a pinched nerve, to lupus, or lyme disease. Your best bet to find out what it is, is to go to a good doctor, and demand answers. Be adamant that you don't believe whats going on is stress, because many doctors do not really care about their patients and will shrug off symptoms as stress 3 times out of 4.

In my book, calling things stress is a cop-out when the answer is not clear.

I am 26 and have the same issue in the exact same spot you are. I agree with the stress theory. If it were Tourettes then we all have an issue... There are a lot of people that get that. It normally goes away when the issue is resolved. :)

I have nose bridge twitch along with eyebrow, thumb and parts of my thigh all on the right side of my body. I was diagnosed with focal seizures because of a 1cm lesion found in my left frontal lobe of my brain. I'm taking Keppra an anti seizure med and the twitching has stopped. see a neurologist and don't give up.

Sometimes twitches can be helped by simply using an ice cube and gently rubbing over the affected area. obviously don't hold it against the area for a prolonged amount of time but maybe for a minute, then take it off then rub for a minute and then you'll probably find has settled particualrly if it's caused by allergies
