Sounds like u had a stroke dumbass you should probably seek medical attention professionally that is not from your sister !!!!
did it get better?
I had woken up a few months ago with my left pinkie finger numb only on the outside with no pain, just really felt weird and annoying...it went away on its own after like 2 weeks, I could even press on the side of the knuckle at the bottom of my pinkie and press down and move around I could find the nerve and Iknew it was pinched. Today I woke up with my left thumb numb on the top and side with no pain....im thinking it was how I slept again and pinched a nerve. I am going to give it a few days when I have a dr apt so I'm going to wait til then and talk to my dr about it....its weird to have two fingers do this within 6months, but I'm not worried at all.
You wouldn't be chill if weren't able to use thumb properly, due to it being numb. I have trouble with phone, writing, opening bottles, zippers, chapstick believe it or not, and many other things.
did you ever get feeling back in your thumb? i was cutting vinyl tile as well and i have numbness in my right thumb :(
How long it took to heal completely? Facing same problem

The tip of my thumb has been numb for a week, ever since I was pushing a lot of pushpins into paneling to hang some things on the wall. I guess I pressed in about 20, and some of them were harder to push in than others. Afterwards, I noticed my thumb was numb, but didn't think much about it until it was still numb the next morning. Now, after a week, I'm a little worried. I can use my thumb fine, and it doesn't hurt, but I do a lot of art type projects, and being able to feel my thumb would be helpful when painting intricate details on something, for example. I guess I've impacted a nerve and it will eventually get better...I hope.
I have recently been experiencing numbness on the inside of my right thumb near its base. I recently started working at an art school as an assistant and I use a scissors quite a bit cutting out materials for Young art students to use. This is when the numbness began. I'm trying to figure out if I should try to find a bigger more padded pair of scissors, or something that I could place inside my thumb area some kind of a hard plastic that I could tape there to keep the pressure from being so isolated in one spot from the scissors.
