Go see a chiropractor! They can help you. You all have nerve impingement.
I can't believe we all have had the same thing.

October of 2006, my left hand went numb while doing the dishes. It spread up my arm and on the left side of my face. I called 911, but all was normal by the time they got there. The numbness continued, on both sides, in both hands and feet, and once more in the face.

I had an MRI of my brain and a bunch of blood work, but it was all negative (or positive, actually) :)

I tossed it up to stress or migraine halos and moved on - we have horrible insurance, and I didn't want to pursue it anymore.

But lately it has increased, where my hand or foot are numb almost all day. And today I got very light headed and dizzy, with no reasons why.

I've had Carpal Tunnel before during a pregnangy and was fine.

I'm 28 and healthy with three kids.

I'm interested in a spinal MRI and nerve tests, but it sounds like those are rarely conclusive from what I've read on here.

Oh, I also cut out MSG, which I read can cause these types of symptoms, but it hasn't helped.

Any thoughts on what I should do next? Has anyone had this escalate into something more?

Oh, and we're on a well that's double softened/purified - I doubt the water quailty is my cause.
I gree with you. I have numbness and I have been checked for my thyroid, which came out normal. We might be all misdignosed, or there is something wrong with our foods or water. By the way I also have hair loss and wait gain, fatigue, sleepy, heart pain, memory loss. I am only 33 years old and I feel I am falling apart.
hey you guys and gals, go see a chiropactor. sounds like blockages from the spine as this the nerve root to all our body

hi

is everybody using macbook pro ? :)
probably it's a coincidence, but my left pinky finger started to tingling after i bought my new latop. it's so warm on the left side, that it's quite uncomfortable.

I have the same symtoms as most of you. tingling pinky and ring finger. i'm 27 years old male. I swim every morning, don't smoke, almost no alcohol, no overweight.

The problem is progressed yet, but I have to take it serious. My mother is 53. She has some autoimmune disorder. Tingling, weakening arms/legs. She receive Intravenous Immuneglobulin (IVIG) treatment. It doesn't really help, but the doctors can't really do anything else.
Has anybody get the same treatment ?
They say it's not inheritable, but I tend to not to beleive it.

I'm overseas and I don't have insurance, so I can't go to the doctor now. Any info would be extremly appreciated.

thank you,
Peter

Whoa, I have the same symptoms as everyone, started in my left side, but I use a mac labtop. And to be honest, I never had any problems, and then started getting a bunch once I got this computer. Stomach was hurting cause I used to sit it on my stomach. It has mercury in the screen supposedly, think this is doing it?
Do you think it's the macintosh? If this is similar to everyone then I could see it being that. Maybe that sounds weird, but the mac laptops have mercury in them. I know this as I went to go get mine fixed one day and they wouldnt do it because of that. But come to think of it, I didn't experience weird problems until I got this.. but it wasn't until a while after. Long enough for the cause and effect to be reasonable.

Does anyone else have a mac laptop?
Wow... well I think that the fact that all of you have VERY similar symptoms proves that it can't be THAT serious :P

From what I've read, these kind of symptoms can be from a migraine to a brain tumor or a spinal tumor. There are several possibilities, but I'd ask a doctor and get tests done to make sure you know exactly what it is.

Thats the problem. Most of us have been to plenty of Doctors but none seem to be able to figure it out either.

I don't have a mac but it would be hilarious to pin it on them. I bought a Microsoft Zune maybe it will counteract something. Seriously I found listening to music does help quite a bit.
I have read all of your postings and am amazed that so many of us have the same problem. I started experiencing this a couple of months ago. I also sit at a computer all day. From what little research I've done it seems to be nerve related more than a medical condition. I didn't realize that I rest my left arm on my chair arm until now. I also notice that the tingling feeling happens during the night that I can't even feel my arm. I would go to the Dr but it sounds like many of you have tried that and still have no answers. Besides I don't have health insurance.

Someone suggested resting your arm on a pillow and not bending your elbow. I'll try that and see if it helps any. I'll keep y'all posted.

Blessings,
I don't sit at a computer very much. my numbness began in my right ring finger and right pinky a few months ago. and has slowly moved up my arm. the same recently started with my left hand and arm. sometimes it feels like certain parts of my scalp or upper face may be a little numb. I'm going in wednesday for a test to check my ulnar nerves. but why would my right and left both be affected. I had back surgery back in '99 to repair disc between L4 & L5. since then my left leg has grown increasingly numb.

can all this be as simple as one of you has suggested, and a chiropractor can fix it? has anyone had a chiro fix THEIR symptoms? what should I do or who should I see to find some answers?

Good luck to everyone.
I am a 33 year old male who started with similiar symptoms overnight, easily startled, shooting tingles down my left side, which seem to alter in frequency and intensity from day to day getting worse if i have done excercise, i think it may be to do with me overdoing it in the gym as i huet my left shoulder in the gym and the trouble is all in the left side
I am a 25 year old female with a history of bil. leg surgey in 1997 and a PE in 2003. On August 2nd while at work my jaw starting hurting right after my shoulder was going numb this was at 11 am by 11:30 when the parmadeics got there to pick me up my whole arm was numb. By the time I got to the ER and moved into a room my leg was starting to feel weak. I had a CT Brain, CTA of the Brain, CTA of Chest, MRI of Brain, Leg Ultrasound, and Cartoid Ultrasound all was negative. I was relased on August 3rd still beening numb and tingly on my entrie left side. My humerus and my femur have pain as well. I can not put my full weight on my left leg i can walk but not well. I have also had back pain since July 30th after having a busy day at work. I do not have a history of aniexty attacks. I only drink bottle water no virus that i know of. I live in central florida and my husband has no symptoms please if anyone can think of what this can be let me know. I am going to my PCP on Monday to try to get some more test run for diabeties and such. I am at a lost and in pain.
Hi

Have any of you ever had an MRI of the CERVICAL SPINE (NECK) because that controls that arms etc.

I would seriously talks to your doctor about that as I am going tomorrow for an MRI of that because I hae shooting pains in my head and neck

Best of luck and let me know what happens

Portia
i just woke up this mornin with my left hand pinky and that side of my parm tingling as well as the top part of my ring finger, i have also been havin a muscle spasm in the top of my right arm, any suggestions on what this could be?

Many thanks
The pinky toe and ring toe (for lack of better descriptions) as well as the top of my left foot have been number for at least a year now. I never thought anything about it. I've recently started biking a lot lately and now every time I bike, my left pinky and ring finger go numb. I've noticed a few times while driving, but it happens every time I bike.

I am starting to think it has to do either the way I hold my handle bars while I am biking or perhaps from sitting on my bicycle seat for so long. I usually bike 40-50 miles two or three times a week, which takes about 4 hours. I bought a new, more padded seat, but it still happens. I'm going to see a doctor soon and I'll try to let people know what I find out (though it seems nothing will come from it.)
