Mine does for 3 weeks now.. it comes and goes, but when it does turn come out my eyes... no idea what's causing it...
I've been to the doctor 4 or 5 times now. They don't know what is it, yet.
Had my throat scoped, but doctor said nothing major just a bit of redness...

yep STupid thing I had it for a Week now on my right Side
I was sick scence february than got better than got sick in march than got better than got sick this month but than Cold went away and I all of the sudden got a red eye and sore throat I was like okay I got hecka day quil and stuff never WORKED !!!the pain of MY right side of the Tongue and ear got worsen and worsen every day and now I'm here looking for some advice I dont have medical to go to doctor I dont know what to do this Sucks really bad email me please

%-) - I've been having a similar problem for quite awhile now. The right side of my throat doesn't feel like a regular sore throat. My right ear also hurts but not like a regular ear ache either. It feels more like a pressure feeling or like something is in my innner ear. Sometimes it bothers me when I swallow and sometimes it feels like it's a sore on the back of the right side of my tongue. Sometimes when I breathe or swallow I get a tickle on the right side of my throat that makes me cough. Along with all of this I get a constant nasal drip and when I get a cold it seems to get worse and then I feel like it is an inflammation going from the right side of my throat down to the right side of my chest and sometimes I have a wheezing sound. I don't know if it is coming from my throat or my chest. But my doctor said my lungs are clear. I've just finished my medication because the doctor said I had an ear infection with a bad cold, but I still don't feel any better, I still have the same symptoms. I wish someone could give me some answers.

okay guys I found a solution for this yesterday morning I took Iodine and mixed half of a cup with like 6 drop of iodine and water and than wash my mouth and esophagus with it but dont swallow it do like GyrgleGyrgle thingi than spit it out Beleve me I'm not bs-ing than put some Iodine on ur throat and cover it with a bandanna over night and do it next day it will go away right now my throat is going away Iodine Kills Bacteria and yeah u have this one infection thingi in ur mouth there is a small retarded ball growing in ur throat i dont know what caused it well wish everyu one luck

My Right ear and throat hurts while swallowing or eating. Havent eaten anything today. Also i am having a blocked right nose.
Looks like a lot of other people have faced this problem before... But what is the solution?
I am sure that this is not a problem of wisdom tooth ( as many people adviced me ) as i dont feel any pain in my Jaws/other tooth.
My guess is it may be a infection of the throat due to cold :-(

I have been having similar symptoms...pain on back of tongue and throat, painful swallowing, talking and eating. Pain sometimes radiates to right ear and jaw. The pain goes away completely when taking prednisone...40-60 mg. ENT is stumped...yet may be carotidynia...I suggest you look up. I had a CT scan today...awaiting results. Does anyone still have this problem?

unfortunately I believe I may have obtained the same issues. It started as a cold, which i often mistaken for allergies because the difference is minimal in my case. One night i went to sleep with my "allergies" and woke up with severe pain on the right hand side of the jaw. While I am not as congested as before and most of the prenasal drip has ceased the jaw problem still persists. It doesn't hurt at all times, rather when i put my mouth into certain situations like swallowing, putting my lower teeth infront of my top teeth, moving my tongue around etc. When im not experiencing the jaw pain it feels swollen at all times, almost like it is larger. When it does hurt though it is always in the same area which can be generalized from the canal in my ear to what i would assume be the joint of the jaw. The pain is bearable yet both annoying and dreadful. I had stopped by the doctors office today but it was closed so I was hoping I could find some info on my own.

I've had the same symptoms described, hurts to swallow, on the left side of my throat, and it feels a little swollen. I also don't feel sick, i.e. cold/flu, however, when i take advil and have a warm drink, it helps for a couple of hours, and even lets me fall asleep.

I've been sick like this too for like a month. First time I went to the doc's I got the Z-pack, which I swear I get for every ailment. That didn't work, and the sides of my throat hurt so bad, and my ears are really really hurting as well. Also, I feel like the back sides of my tongue are sore, as well. It hurts so bad to swallow, talk, yawn, anything. I'm about to carry a cup around with me so I can spit into that rather than swallowing. The doctor gave me dexamethasone and cefaclor. I pray they work because today was the worst pain ever:-(

this is very weird, i have just recently been experiencing all of this symptoms exactly, the left side of my throat aches, my left ear aches severe at times. i have been prescribed meds and its the third day of taking them and i also hope that it works because it is very painful similiar to everyone elses accounts. someone write back please and let me know anything you may be experiencing that is similiar to this case, and the many other cases listed on this thread. thanks.

I find this very weird, I also have experienced the exact same symptoms described by the numerous individuals on this website thread. I have a pain in the left side of my throat and then have recently developed a pain in my left ear, severe at times. I have recently been prescribed anti-biotics and hope that this will subside, I have just found it rather disturbing that there has been posting on this thread about the exact same thing ni multiple cases where there has been no posting of what has been done to help this, no re-posting by anyone saying that it went away, etc, etc. I am not usually a 'worry wart' but this is something that is affecting me because I am not a complainer, or exagerate my sicknesses or for that matter ever really talk about them because I can deal with them on my own and never really am affected by them. Too often in todays society we are GIVEN an answer and accept it and too often we don't ask questions because we are always GIVEN that answer.But if anyone takes the time to realize that there has been over 50 postings on this thread over the past year all relating to the exact same thing and nothing ever being brought up as to a remedy for it, I find that very cooincidental, or possibly something of more importance that assumed at first glance. We need to start making connections as to WHY and not always accepting the answer of 'cold season, etc, etc'. If anyone has any knowledge on the issue or experiencing the same thing I hope that they would comment on this and offer opinions, suggestions, experiences, etc.
