Hello Folks.  I am not a doctor but I can share my success with

treatment.  Concerned about the thoracic cavity, right lung,

gallbladder, liver and anything else on the right side.

Had shooting pains from front to rear.  First thing I did

was agree with my doc that I want to KEEP my gallbladder,

because that is a reactive solution and scalpels and "shots in

the dark" just don't go with my nature.

In addition to GERD and a torn major ligament that holds

the deltoid onto the arm, I needed NO help making things

UNREACHABLE.  When I would reach, sometimes, not all,

shooting pains as high as the moon would ensue from

right shoulder blade (back), to a very "special" spot up

front underneath Sadie (rt breast).

No temperature above normal. Great digestive function.

Inflamed, could be any of the right side organs, I find the

gall bladder suspect as I have been told before there's

a prolapsed valve between the liver and gb.  The formal

test was not conducted.  The dx was based on doc's

20 yrs experience.

So the first day of excruciating pain, I used GAIA brand

REJUVE (no- I am NOT in any way a sales person, just know

its the best brand and most pure around) and deep detox.

I immediately noticed a few small health differences but on

the first day I did feel a bit crummy.  Additionally,  I took

400 mg Ibuprofen and 800 before going to sleep. Did this for

a few days. And noticed my crummy posture, hunching

over like that, walker or not!  I MUST eat when taking

NSAIDs.

I will continue to take the 400 mg ibu and the tramadol.

This site helped me piece it together. I am so grateful

for every one sharing their stories.  It enabled me to

find a solution!  Oh yes and stretching.  I kept breathing

and stretching through the pain and along with the

anti inflammatory.

So to recap-

Got the liver cleanse kit from GAIA.

Started the morning regimen part of it.

Took doc's nsaid and tramadol.

Breathed and stretched through the pain.

Watched my posture! (Sitting & Standing!)

I will continue monitoring my liver with

GAIA deep Liver Support which is basically

reishi and shitake mushroom (good fungus).

If this awful pain re-occurs and I am unable

to correct it alone, I will see an advanced

prolotherapist.

I hope I have helped even one person.

Please be sure to check with your doc about

all this!!!  Thank you!

Blessings to all...

Hi Jodi girl, i have buldging disc at T5678&9. If you had a MRI and they said you have a herniated disc, this means you have a ruptured disc. Herniated and ruptured are the same. T7 and t8 is in your rib area so herniated disc in that area will certainly cause you nerve pain in ribs. Your disc start out buldging, imagine a bubble sticking out of your spine. Sometimes with physical therapy, chiropractor, or docs doin epidural steroid injections, the bulging disc can sometimes be fixed without surgery. They inject steroids in your back, in your case they would inject the T7-T8 level then T8:T9 level. Steroids anti-inflammatory which cause the buldge to shrink. They often do the injections in 3's. You'll have 1 St one then wait 1 to 2 weeks, have the 2 nd one, then wait, then 3rd. This works for some people, which is great, then they no longer have that buldge sticking out touching their nerves causing pain. How ever, if that buldge bursts, then you now have a herniated or ruptured disc. ( u really should Google images and look at a buldging then a herniated disc, it will help you understand clearly). When it burst or herniates, jelly like thick fluid comes out that hits your nerves and anything touching nerve is painful! In some cases this too can be fixed w epidural steroid injections, therapy, etc, the jelly like fluid can absorbed back into your skin. In my case, I had 2 herniated disc in 2009 Low back and tailbone. L4-L5 L5-S1, had tons of injections, etc, nothing helped, my nerves in legs hurt sooo bad and I had toes goin numb, leg getting weak.. so my neurosurgeon went in to clean out, and mine had small bone fragments that also came out when mine herniated. I also had a lot more goin on down there than we knew, I was born without a piece of a bone, so he put in artificial things, cage plate screws, etc. Anyway that's off topic, sorry. I just had such a hard time understanding all that then, still don't understand everything and obviously still having trouble now 5 bad disc thoracic and 2 cervicle. Hope this helps and doesnt confuse you. And dry for any miss spelling I'm typing on phone. Google images it helps a lot seeing the pictures. Good luck to you :-)

Dear Jonik, Thank you for the MOST HELPFUL info!!! I have been to physical therapy, it made things worse. The Chiropractor I thought was breaking my ribs (I could not catch my breath) and I did have 2 steroid injections. The first one lasted 1 day, the 2nd seemed like the fluid never went down my spine, I could not catch my breath for 2 days after and it felt as if and elephant was squeezing me!

My new problem of concern is that I am not breathing deep enough and my lung scan shows I am holding fluid in my lungs!! The chronic pain dr wants to try and ease the pain so I can start breathing therapy.

***I am now having fluid all over my body! My ankles and legs are swollen and tight! I am concerned about this!

The chronic pain dr put me on methadone and it made my lips and tongue swell.. Maybe this is why my legs and ankles are swollen? It has been 4 days since I have taken any...

Now he has prescribed me NUCYNTA ER.. Has anyone heard of this???? I asked him for the nerve block (per the neuro surgeon this is my ONLY option- will not do surgery because other things could go wrong)

I am going to google pics as you said.

Until I hear from you, Have a Blessed and PAIN FREE DAY!

Suggest you see a good Physical Therapist skilled in Manual Therapy. You could have tendonitis of any of the rib tissue that connect to the spine/sternum or any number of "itis" (inflammation) of the connective tissue around those areas. Pain with breathing, lying in certain positions, sitting or even standing, (sometimes it's better lying down, but only for a while). A good therapist can take a few months of weekly visits to get it calmed down but the real work is strengthening the back muscles. It gets better with good treatment-and alot of work. Until then, sometimes Robaxin helps with the spasms but stay away from "doctors" whose answers are limited to surgery or Big Pharma, (or blaming it on the patient if both "fail").

I do not have an answer for you but I can tell you that I can relate to your problem. I have been having this aching in my right side on and off for a couple of months. Saturday the pain came and it stayed and has not left. It got to be so much that 6am on Sunday morning I went to the emergency room. They did ultrasound and cat scan of liver, kidneys, pancreas, bladder and whatever else is on the right side. They took urine sample and took tons of blood. They came back with nothing. They gave me muscle relaxer and pain meds. I know my own body. I know this is not strictly a muscle spasm. ANd people are always saying go with your gut feeling and my feeling is something is not right. That is why I am in pain. My body is telling me something is not right. And of course the doctors just gave up after their initial diagnosis of gallstones was ruled out. at least thats how I see it. So i am going to my primary and trying to demand referrals to a gastro and stomach doctor. Good luck!

Montananurse, I agree, and that's what I'm going to try now. Robaxin doesn't help me, but laying down does, but I can't lay down forever!! And surgeries, injections, nerve blocks, have been such a waste of money and time, and caused me even more problems. So far therapy Chiroprator has been painful and hasn't helped but I'm hoping with time it will, or I'll find the right person that can help me. My doc just suggested surgery and I just don't wanna do it, he did also say therapy could help me.. If i wanna try that 1st. seems that something goes wrong every surgery, or procedure I have had. I don't think my body can stand anything else and I HATE steroids!! So will not let anyone give me anymore injections! Now I have SI joint deterioration, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, the list goes on, im 32 years old, n have chronic pain every day!! I know I've had pain since i was a child, i had spine developmental problems I was born with.. had to have 1st surgery, because I was beginning to lose feeling in my feet and legs! Ppl sit there n say "dont ever have back surgery" but when you begin to lose feeling in places and have a hard time walking, your dragging your leg, falling, etc, you have to do something! That surgery was successful and necessary. But! i believe steroids / injections have made some of these other problems happen. Steroids are not good for you in the long run!! Anyway therapy is what I'm going to try for now! Good luck to all, I know this pain is misery, but hopefully we can all find relief somehow!

Pauly, It's your lower back. Had the same problem and my father-in-law is an orthopedic surg/ chiropractor. I did a week of fixing/ therapy then all better never to return. Find a really good chiropractor.

Hi
I too have back pain that doesnt want to go away, under right rib cage and almost always center of back to under shoulder blade. I have had CT scan, xrays, chiro visits, physio, accupuncture, dry needling, cupping and am trying massage on Wednesday. I've had mine for 4 years.
Do you have stress in your life apart from the obvious (these symptoms)??
That is the next avenue I'm going down.
GOOD LUCK!!! I know how frustrating it is.

Go to "Google Scholar" and type in "slipped rib syndrome", "cosotcondritis and "slipping rib syndrome".  Very difficult to find a MD that realizes and/or treats this syndrome.  One type of therapy is  "Prolotherapy" and as other had, their chiropractor to put it back in, however, as with mine, it will not stay in......A very difficult and painful diagnosis but google scholar with give you many "free" articles explaining syndrome.  Also Google Images also will give you more info on this subject.  I have been dealing with mine for over a year.....Good luck!!!!

Sometimes it is because they inflate towards your shoulders and all of that good stuff to do the surgery. I had bad pain in my shoulders.

probably hiatel hernia

I have exaclty the same pains - I have this on and off constantly and it drives me insane. Did you ever find out what it was?

Reply

No it's not a hiatel hernia for sure. That's like reflux. This pain we are speaking of is in our shoulder blade, back, ribs and under breast area.
