This happens to me a I just put a bandaid on it and it stopped bleeding everywhere for a while
When you get these use BOIL EASE you can get it at walmart the cheapest.
Don't use neosporon or bacitrcian because they seem to prolong the pain and delay the drainage.
When using the boilease put a large glob on your finger and put it on the painful spot quickly, bon't use just a little us alot.
Then drape a few paper towels still together but folded over the waistband of you underwear to soak up the pus and blood when the boil drains, you will get the idea of this when you try it.
Sometimes when these boils drain they do it as you are on the toilet making the water blood red so before you panic it is just the draining boil.
After a few days if it takes that long using the boilease because you are only to use for 3 days you may notice some blood on the paper towel if you do take some more paper towels roll then up put it where the boil is and squeeze your cheeks together real tight using your butt muscles not yous hands.This doesn't hurt after using the boilese for a few days but it might be a little painful if done to early. Roll the paper towels up don't use them flat rolling them up is for a reason.
By time the boil starts to hurt real bad it just about 3 or 4 days from from popping so when you feel it start to hurt get the boilease on there and and us the paper towels, you can let it just explode in you underwear but it will run down your leg and go through you pants, The discharge also smells real bad so take that into consideration, the paper towels prevent that. You will get the idea when you try it.
Also as follow up get the big bottle of Dial handsoap at walmart also it is orange in color and cheap get that and wash your butt and boil with that instead of regular soap.
These boils can come back like 4 or 5 more times it the exact same spot so expect that before they finaly go away.

Pilonidal cyst maybe?
I was glad to have found these posts! I got a pilonidal cyst as other posts described. It appeared Monday and was absolutely excruciating by Wednesday- ER pain! more so than a kidney stone I had a year ago. I followed the suggestions of castor oil & the vinegar and baking soda paste. The combination of alternating the castor oil & the paste with extremely hot showers brought huge relief. Within 12 hrs it started to drain. Friday (3 days after starting home remedy) it's almost completely drained by itself without having to lance it. Saturday it's just about emptied but can walk, sit and almost completely bend down without buckling and shouting explicits. I highly recommend castor oil, frequent hot showers, baking soda and vinegar paste!
My steps: take a scalding hot shower with most the water directed onto the "cyst". Generously apply castor oil to gauze and let it sit on the area with a hot MOIST towel. Leave for 15-25 min. Shower again then follow with a baking soda & vinegar paste. I used a table spoon of baking soda and then mixed vinegar slowly until the right consistency. Put the paste on the gauze. Left on for 15-20 min with a MOIST hot towel compress. Hot shower then castor oil again.
I did 3 applications alternating the oil& paste within the first 24 hrs of starting this home remedy then just used castor oil during the day and at night to sleep.
Of course your fever still needs to break so the hot hot hot showers are crucial as well as fluids and anti-inflammatory meds.

I used a razor blade and cut into it half way and junk came out. I then cleaned the area and took strong antibiotics to help with infection. Never do anything I just said. But I did feel much better. Now when it comes to doing anything like this always have antibiotics. Now mine came back so I have to do it again.

I dont have it on both sides just one its an absess thats what the docs say mainly 67%of the people that get them the other well it varies its extremely painful if you have a heating pad use it mines gone down from a half dolllar to a dime its alot easier than going to docs and bath in anemse salt not to sound weird but make sure your heating pad is in there where the lumps are
