Just because you are on the pill or 30 years old does not make it for sure that you are not pregnant. You can become pregnant on the pill and you can become pregnant in your 30's.

It's called gyna (meaning woman) chamastia (meaning breast)... and as far as i know... most boys goes through this during puberty. It should feel like there is a tiny marble underneath each nipple, and they will be sore to pressure. Unfortunately, you will probably have to get used the annoying pain for a while. It lasted in me for a couple years... but it does go away eventually!

omg...I've been having pain in my nipples too. :{ ive been working out in the gym and as gross as it may sound i wear a sports bra and when it gets sweaty i forget to take it off. I am 16 and after last months period i stopped taking the pill because im told it makes you gain slight weight? is that true? but i took my sports bra off for the first time in 3 days the other day and it hurt to touch my nipples at all like push inward towards my chest on them. my breasts arnt sore just my nipples and idk what to do...I hope im not pregnant...too young and only in my 2nd year of high school.

I am 57 years old, had a hysterectomy at least 20 years ago and have been taking a hormonal replacement since then. I lost my husband a year ago and I definitely miss our closeness and at this point I am still alone. About four days ago I started experiencing some tenderness in my left nipple. Now, even clothes touching is painful and the right nipple has become tender. I seem to remember something like this many years ago when I was pre menopause, so what is going on now?

My left nipple has been sore for.. days. I dont know when the last time it wasnt sore its been so long. I am not pregnant I assure you, I do not have any strange lumps or any other pain except extreme sensitivity on my left nipple. Occasionally my right nipple hurts aswell. I wear clean bras! I rarely let my partner touch my nipples because they hurt so bad. Additionally my period isnt for another 2 weeks! What could be the reason for this pain?

I'm 24 and I've had sore nipples for about 2 weeks now. I went off the pill roughly a month ago (not sexually active at the moment), got my period, and a week after that my nipples became very tender and sore to the touch. I've taken a pregnancy test to rule that out, but haven't changed my diet or laundry detergent. I'd been on the pill for a year straight; I wonder if it has something to do with the sudden change in hormone patterns?

lol weve all got the same problem both my nipples are sore not the breast, ive lookd and ive found something that says if your bras not big enough you can get sore nipples and if your comming on your period... this applies to me im not quite sure about anyone else here.

I too have experienced this. I put a little neosporin on the nipple that was painful, and the soreness and hardness went away in about an hour. Try that. XD

got off current birthcontrol about a month and a half ago after i ovulated on it and got an ovarian cyst (guess that brand was a no go for me) and for the past 4 days ive had very painful nipples to the point that wearing a shirt hurts them. 17 years old and not preggers (virginal) also just the very tips have been red and hard. anyone have any idea yet?

I have been having the same discomfort. I am 23 and am not pregnant. I have been on birth control for 10 years now due to ovulation problems and this is currently my sixth consecutive year on depo-provera. I have never had nipple soreness/tenderness until recently. My soreness began about 6 days ago. It hurts to even rest them against anything. Does anyone have an answer out there?

wow...im 17..all of the same symptoms...right more than left...and im not pregnant...i've noticed that birth control is also a main factor on the majority of these stories...so im hoping that its that... but ive been on mine for like 2.5 years and i've never had this happen to me before...but it does list it under the side affects on the package...question to the people who posted pre-menstrual...does it stop hurting afterward?

I'm 17...a month away from 18. I've never been on birth control and I'm a virgin. I've been having these same spurts of pain that last anywhere from a day to two weeks. I've been having them since I was about 14 or 15. I haven't had my period in 3 months, which is normal for me. I'm very irregular, but I've been like that since I was 11, and my doctor said it would straighten itself out eventually. Is this just my body's way of trying to straighten out my period?
