Painful Nipples

Please go see a doctor. It's not a good sign if your breasts are sore and swollen and yet your are losing weight elsewhere.

Anyone find an answer to this? I'm nineteen, definitely not pregnant, and I recently got off of birth control because I was put on blood thinners... I'm not having sex however (depressing, I know, but we're all ladies here), and my nipples HURT. Like... Don't even want to wear a shirt because if anything touches em they hurt really bad. And they're red and a little irritated. I don't know. Someone help. :(

----------- my wife has much the same complaint.   nipples so tender that they can't stand to be touched.

 

not hormones, not pregnancy, not nothing.   she tried nipple fun wear (search on it ) and some nipple rings.   she couldn't tolerate the rings (elastic squeeze ) but she could use the nipple fun and, although nipple fun believes that it sensitizes nipples (which it does - for me ! ), they believe it works by loosening the lactiferous tubules .   one has to work up to real time and real elongation, but stay with it and it'll (they'll ) work for you, too . . .

This is only a suggestion and if the pain continues then you should visit your family doctor or clinic to get a confirmed diagnosis. 

I have this problem as well. The only difference is I am not on birth control and I haven't been for about 5 yrs. I'm 20 I notice this pain in my left breast as well as my right. It's just not as intense as the left one. My nipples are very erect most of the time and it has a little redness around the areola and the nipple. Any opinions?

Heyy Im 17 i got the same problem my nipple hurts when i touch them i dont think im pregnant but i didnt get my period yet usually it comes the last week in the month im waiting to get my period if i do get i want to know whats wrong with my nipple and boobs. i fdont get it i dont know what it mean HELP I NEED SOME KIND OF ANSWER!!!!!

yes, i am 40 and not pregnant. my nipples burn so so bad at times. To the point of being dabilitated for the rest of the day. It has happened to me 3 times in 2012 about a week before my period. And 2 times this year 2013. please someone tell me is this a normal thing at this age and nothing is sersious

I'm a 23 year old girl, I'm not pregnant, regular periods, never been on birth control, not on any medications, etc.. My nipples have been sore & erect for the last 5 days.  I keep waiting for them to stop hurting.  It's so weird, the rest of my breast feels normal it's just the nipple.   The pain that I'm feeling in them, feels almost identical to how your nipples feel the first week or so after having them pierced.  But I've had my nipple rings out for over a year and the holes are long closed.Around Xmas in 2011, my breasts started hurting (not my nipples) and wouldn't stop.  They didn't stop being sore until early February of 2012.   It really freaked me out.. It was during that period of time (like the first week) that I took my nipple rings out.  Though back then it was my breast tissue that hurt and not my nipples.

I have the same problem left nipple couple of days just got done my period hoping I'm not pregnant and my nipples have been erect for a few days now, I'm wondering if intercourse would help, I'm 24

I think I have a skin tag on my nipple been there for years but now it's starting bleeding and very sore I'm very concerned checking with Dr I hope it's ok I was never able to breastfeed because if this

Ladies, I'm in my 20's and I have nipple pain for one week now. I read that yes hormones especially birth control can cause it but also it can be irregularity in intercourse. I'm married so I was regular but then he got injured and can't walk for a few months and of course I don't want to accidentally hurt him so its been a dry spot and that's when I got pain after like a month of not getting any. I'm sure mine will go away as soon as the Mister is up and running. LOL.

I've had this same problem for over a year now. It comes and goes. I also have psoriasis and sometimes that can appear on my nipples. They are very itchy but super sensitive (any touch hurts) and numb. I cant feel any touch there except the itching and pain. They also swell a bit and turn a darker color. This happens at all times around my cycle. I can't find any help. If anyone hunts anything out please email me and help me. Best of luck ladies.

thinking it might be the pill is interesting but heres my case, both nipples hurt and I recently just stopped the pill 3 weeks ago so after the 1 week of my period that's 2 weeks without pill and its been 4 days of this slightly painful feeling whenever I touch them along with being erect. for a fact its obviously hormonal changes.

It happens with men aswell.

Everyone that doesn't think they can be pregnant just because they are on birth control (yes even using more than one method) should tale a test around when their period is due BC that doesn't mean ur not pregnant it just lessens the likelyhood. Also you can have your period and still e pregnant....everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. Take a test just to be sure. Other than that could be anything from stress to infection to hormone changes. If it persists just be safe and see your doc he will probably just prescribe you this special oil. I can't remember off the top of my head what its called.
