I am researching Pancreatitis in hopes of finding help for my dog, Johnny. Johnny, Okie John Henry, is a retired racing greyhound. He will be 13 years old in April 2013. He is considered an elderly dog. I guarantee he's never had alcohol. He had an acute attack last April and we almost lost him. He was hospitalized for 5 days. He was on IV's. Almost a year later he's still suffers some of the same issues. He is constantly hungry. He's restless. His digestion is totally out of whack. After his hospitalization he began eating dirt. He's currently obsessed with eating dirt. He will just go out in the yard and chomp down. I want some relief for him. If you have any ideas of what to do for a dog I would appreciate it.

There are MANY prescribed drugs that can cause pancreatitis as well. I am sick of hearing that my partner's attacks and now chronic pancreatic problems were due to alcohol abuse. We dont drink. Period.

Mood stabilizing drugs, blood pressure medication, the list is LONG. So chances are NOTHING. Give your head a shake.

Low carbon and greasy food, lot of water and fruit.
