parents smoking marijuana around their children, how bad is this

If marijuana is so bad then why the hell are doctors subscribing it to patients I don't understand how many people have died or had car wrecks or went out and killed someone on marijuana but lets check out alcohol that is legal and sold everywhere u look lots of people have been killed had wrecks and everything else look art cigerettes there give u cancer worst then weed butits wrong to smoke weed somebody needs to do better research

WOW some of you people are rediculus! Right or wrong, good or bad; how can you say pot is not BAD for you in ANY way? washing the windows in your car is bad for you in a small way, everything is... and saying stuff like drivimg high is better then sober, and that NO ONE has ever died from pot... rediculus! If I take 2 hits of a joint, I am messed up. so are others. REDICULUS. Again, Im not posting an opinion about smoking but more on the ignorance AND arrogance of some of you!

So, can I assume your wife smoked this stuff when she was pregnant with your children? Or at least breathed it second-hand with you smoking around her while pregnant. And why doesn't the word get out that people CAN get lung cancer from smoking ANYTHING. Cigs, cigars, pot, inhaling factory smoke where they've worked for 30-40 years, and he-she may not be a smoker of anything him or herself. Would you also smoke right in the baby's room at 3 months old? or while helping kids with their homework? What if they DON"T want to smoke it? And even if they were all for it, regardless of you being very pro-pot, in most places in the US, it is illegal. So you run the risk of a police record, getting your car impounded, all the legal costs involved, etc.



A friend of mine got a dui about 3 yrs ago, she lost her license for about a year, lost her brand new van, and is still paying on the loan, it costed her at least $5,000 in legal costs, had to spend 2 wkends in jail, go to alcohol rehab, etc etc. and 8-1/2 months later, she was drinking again. All told, she was out about $30,000. I drove her around whenever I could, and I begged her to stop drinking, period. It was NOT her first dui. After she started drinking again, I told her to buy a bus pass, walk or bike. She hasn't spoken to me since. Her loss.

And in most places in Minnesota, USA where I live, when you apply for a job, you also have to take a drug test. My 17 yr old daughter applied for a job as a cashier in a grocery store;, yes, she passed her drug test, cause she doesn't need that sh*t in her life to cope with things. She doesnt' have some void to fill. If she didn't pass it, she would've been on record with that company for a very long time to NEVER get hired. In just 3 months working part-time, she's put away $2000.00 towards a car. In this global down economy, if you have disposable income for drugs, then you should be putting that towards your mortgage, rent, utilities, food, healthcare, car payments, paying down credit cards or other debt, whatever. Same goes for people who smoke cigs.

your a f*****g retard to say that cigarettes dont cause cancer and marijuana does. marijuana is a plant that has nothing added to it when you smoke it while cigarettes have rat poison in them. why dont you do some actual research before telling people lies on the internet

Okay, RE-READ my post, I said ANYTHING that you SMOKE can cause LUNG cancer: CIGARETTES, CIGARS, POT, FACTORY SMOKE. I never said cigarettes don't cause cancer. And I didn't specifically say that marijuana does. Any time you put ANYTHING other than normal air into your lungs, it can cause lung cancer or any other type of respiratory illnesses. YOU are the one who is a f*****g retard to not have read it clearly the first time. I normally would not be insulting like you. But since I have to literally spell out the entire sentence to you, again, guess that says enough. And what about all the other things I pointed out about the illegality, risking your future, or if a work place has you do random drug-testing. Why risk any of that? And why not put your pot money towards your retirement fund, college fund, house, food, normal daily living costs, pay your utilities ahead for a year, take a great vacation somewhere, etc. Or don't you have the ability to read any of this, either??? My brother was a pot smoker for 29 years before he died from an auto-immune disease at the ripe old age of 43. No, the pot probably didn't kill him. But it didn't help him, either. By the time he'd been smoking it about half that time, he'd developed a hacking cough and constant spitting up of plegm and mucus. I asked him what was wrong with him, HE said it was from smoking pot. I just about fell off my chair when he told me that. I asked him if it would clear up if he quit the pot, he said he didn't really know, but assumed it would. And then I said well then you should quit it, he said he didn't want to, and he was addicted to it anyway. and he never smoked cigarettes, only pot. And the breathing problems were the price he payed for smoking it. By the time his auto-immune illness showed up, the air capacity in his lungs was so diminished from the mucus and phlegm in them, he was on oxygen for the last bits of his life. The doctors said if he hadn't smoked pot, he MAY have survived, or at least had a longer life and/or better quality. The doctor said it didn't matter what he smoked, could've been anything, but his lungs were ruined by smoking SOMETHING. So put those facts into your toke pipe and smoke it....

Your HUSBAND AND HIS GIRLFRIEND???? Are you separated or divorced? If you are divorced, he is no longer your husband. Not that it matters one way or the other, it just sounded weird. Document everyhing he says and/or does, so you have back-up. Do your grandchildren's parents or guardians know about this? What are they doing about it?

This post about "husband and a girlfriend" was in response to another woman's post, where she says her husband and his girlfriend smoke pot around her grandchildren, she wanted to get a restraining order against them, then the husband was threatening her if she did so. She also mentioned the grandchildren are not her husband's blood relatives....so that is what prompted the paragraph above. I don't know why it got posted incorrectly here. --My error maybe, or the website's? I don't know.

My point is that driving drunk is ILLEGAL, and smoking pot is ILLEGAL in most places in the usa. Why risk all the things I listed. Nobody seems to be getting the points I am trying to emphasize in my posts. And my brother got bad lungs from smoking pot after several years. When you inhale anything other than normal air into your respiratory system, it irritates the lining of the lungs, which creates more mucus than there normally should be, and after it builds up, it can become permanent and make it difficult to breathe. Or are you so brain-damaged that cannot UNDERSTAND the points I am referencing. Why do I need to keep repeating the same things over and over again. Pot is illegal, so you risk all the things that could go wrong with that. Smoking ANYTHING into your body that you don't need to is upsetting to the body's repiratory system. Plain and Simple. Geez!

did the smoke or smell of dagga around you, as a one year old not affect you. and as you got older did you not get a feeling of using it, because you got used to it. and want to try. My thougths was, smelling this intent smell of my father which was is difftrent to the normal smell of natural earthy smell around me. Would this not coase the child to get used this smell and later be addict to it. Or get with draw symtums if it is not around. There is plenty of research available in fact.. the fact that cannabis is one of the most heavily studied "Drugs" in America it wont be to hard to find. And yes the government as conscripted and allocated much to this end. Yes I'm talking about more wasted Tax Dollars. There have been good sights already posted I'm not going to be redundant.  So for the people who live in the small controlled world of propaganda.... Yeah, smoking anything isnt all that great for you..
However there have been studies to show that marijuana use does not damage the lungs the same way cigarette smoking does..
If someone has the desire to smoke.. its their business..
No one really should be smoking around their kids...
As for the argument about its legality influencing its use..
Driving at a speed above the recognized speed limit in an area is also illegal..
But people do it everyday.. multiple times a day.. EVERYWHERE...
