Hello All

I have had this problem since I was around sixteen. It all started when I got drunk one night and had sex. After sex, I had to spend the entire night on the bathroom floor because I couldn't stand the pain in the tip of penis. It doesn't hurt while I am urinating, but the pain starts right afterwards, and continuously feels like I have to pee. It almost feels like all the urine doens't escape the penis and a remnant of fire like pee stays at the tip. It usually happens after sex, after a good night of drinking, or sometimes it just happen. I think it is very common and most people experience it.

As the years went on I noticed that the only time the pain occurs is when I have been drinking mostly soda, which dehydrates you, or had a night of getting drunk. I have realized to never come to orgasm when I am drunk because it almost always occurs.

To get it to go away within minutes, I found that drinking a lot of gatorade works great! You have to start drinking it as soon as the symptoms start. I am not talking about just one of the medium sized bottles either, but down 2 of the medium sized ones as fast as you can. You'll feel your stomach fill with up and slosh around a little bit, but once the gatorade has time to absorb into your system, you'll be find again within the hour.

If you don't have gatorade, water works too, but I have noticed that tap water doesn't work as well as bottled water. I don't really know why that is, but city I am guessing that city water has small amounts of chlorine in it, which irritates as well.

I hope I helped you guys.

I started getting the same symptoms (burning itch at tip of penis, while urinating, and after urinating) after a few months of unprotected sex with a girl I met at work. There is are no sores, discharges, or bleeding, just a painful burn at penis tip. I called the girl to confront whether she had anything I should have known about, and she claim she did not, which I believe. My suspicion so far is I may have picked up a mild bacterial infection from the her.

same story here. After rough oral sex I had burning with urination.
I assumed STD, and took treatment for gonorhea, chlamidia, and all the rest ( Azythrom +Ceftriaxone+ Flagil ).
but it still burns; the tip of my penis is little red and inflamed, and it burns when I pee. There is no discharge of any nature and there are no other symtoms.
I am going to try homeopatic meds.

I too get a burning sensation immediately after ejaculation if I urinate (even if I wait a while), but ONLY if I have been drinking alcohol. I don't really drink soda or coffee like some others have mentioned but I have no problem urinating after ejaculation any other time. My ex found out she had HPV a few months back (meaning that it's nearly impossible that I don't since we hadn't had any other partners while together), but this is a fairly recent problem and neither of use have any other sexually transmitted infections. Drinking water can help to make the burning less intense while urinating and the decreases the sharpness of the pain so hydration is a key factor. However, no matter how much I rehydrate I will surely experience some burning. This doesn't seem to happen after only a beer or two (I will start tracking this to be certain), but if I have three or more beers, even over an entire evening with a glass of water or two, I am sure to spend an uncomfortable half hour or so trying to "finish up peeing." Now if i could only get a job with insurance so I could determine that there is no other alternative..

I'am sorry, but the pain is real. If I punch you in the stomach, it would hurt..it is not on your head. I feel like the doctors who are incompetent and or do not wish to figure out what the problem really is are saying that it is all in your head. Everytime I say that, I want to punch them and then ask..does it hurt or is it in your head?

Doctors like that made many lives miserable!

pain is real..if I punch you in the stomach, would it really hurt or would it be all in your head? I believe the doctors who are either incompetent or do not want to treat you or do not want complicated cases or all of the above like to say that it is all in your head and nothing else. Those same doctors destroyed too many lives and made those lives miserable because of their incompetence.

Every time this "doctor" wants to tell me it is in my head, I want to punch him in the face and ask if the pain is real now or just in his head?

sick of it! pain is real ok!

Hi folks. I wasn't sure where else to post this so I thought I would just add a reply here.

When I was little, around 6 (30 years ago!), I had surgery on my penis so I could urinate properly, before that it kind of shot in all directions like when you stick your thumb over a hose :-) Anyway, I've always assumed this problem had to do with that in some way...

basically what happens is after sex (weather by myself or with someone), if I pee soon after.. it's fine for a while but then in a bit I will kind of get this feeling like a little drop of urine is trying to work it's way out and will stop about halfway there and just start burning. That's the only way I can describe it :-(

Anyway, I recently started dating someone new and we had sex for the first time last week. Oral on me and she used our hands a lot, that's about it. We were safe and I've always used a condom in the past. Anyway, she was a bit energetic I guess and the following day I was a little sore. I've noticed this pass week I've been getting that same small burn a lot more, so I don't know if she knocked something loose or what. She was very adamant about safe sex and I highly doubt she has anything, we've discussed this stuff a lot beforehand.

So I'm just wondering what some of you might think? Is this something "normal"? is there anything that could make it go away like some vitamins or anything? I don't really take any vitimin suplements or anything like that... and I'll admit my diet isn't as healthy as it should be...

any ideas?

Thanks
Tim

Ive read all your posts and u get your fears but heres what i think is going on.

You hooked up with some random girl and you didnt use protection and then the next day you start to feel like c**p and you have a burning sensation. you prob feel like c**p b/c you partied too hard and caught some germs or the flu - you not dying.. just get some rest. THe buring is bacterial infection..prob nothing major or at worst you need some antibiotics. Do a test drink some vinegar to help re balance your body - not a whole jug just 2 big swigs..then make a concoction of vinegar with some water 60/40 and stick you penis in it..get it in there good and it prob wont feel so great but after about 20 sec in st solution (get it inside there too - down the pipe if you will) the buring should subside and you will feel better for about 24 hours..you have neutralised the bacteria in there but they will come back you need some antibiotices and youll be fine

Gentlemen,

Please read this very carefully as I HAD the same symptoms and I am almost done with it now. You do not have an STD. I have been tested on everything doctors know even Syphilis (hope spelled correctly) and even HIV. I am as clean as it gets. It started burning after I peed once and it never stopped.

The tip of my penis burned 24/7 and it drove me nuts, sometimes it felt like I am having something funny in the middle of my penis. Also, I had peeing problems like a urinary infection, but no bacteria was found. I guess some of you feel similar or all the symptoms I describe.

I am often hurting right below my abdomen, feels very tense. I got super lucky to find a Urologist who actually knows what he is doing. There is a problem, not really a disease, that is called Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrom, or chronic Prostate (forgot the rest).

This issue can also create erection problems or burning sensation after an erection. Long story made short, in my case it is a pelvic floor muscle contraction. It is basically a muscle that sits underneath the prostate and is connected to the penis.

When this muscle contracts, it has a hard time releasing itself, because you have the pain, you don't know where it is coming from and your entire muscle system goes nuts.

When my physical therapist explained this to me, I thought she is nuts and that I caught a disease nobody knows about (unprotected sex with two chicks, sound familiar?).

Well, it has been 4 looong weeks and a lot of work, but the burning in the penis is gone. I am having a few issues still because of some other tense muscles in the area, but I think this will subside with ongoing training. Do yourself a huge favor, find a therapist that concentrates on pelvic floor muscles and get evaluated. It helped me and many other patients of my therapist. It doesn't always go away, but the pain definitely gets less from what I hear.

Guys, also, it is very important to learn how to relax. I have stressed out over this problem so much that I have developed a serious depression and a loud ringing in my ears. Please, even if you don't believe what I wrote find a therapist and get an evaluation, and stop stressing, it makes it worse.

Good luck to all of you, I know how you feel. By the way there is a guessed 2,000,000 men suffering from one of the problems described above. The prostate one is harder to work on, but my research shows that there is some help as well.

I have currently the same issues. Had unprotected oral sex about 3 weeks ago with someone. Two weeks later I was getting all the symptoms for STDS. Was tested for gonnera and chlamydia and the test came back negative. I had been given the meds anyway and still have a burning sensation in penis and groin. Also one of my testicles has been swollen and it's very uncomfortable when sitting. I am really concern that if I don't find out what this is, I'm going to pass this on to some else.

Ok, so I was originally diagnosed with Chlamydia, was put on 21 days of doxy, and now I am testing negative. Recently, it has started to burn when I pee and urine does not fully exit my urethra.

Knowing that we all have these problems, I would like to narrow it down to possible causes.

1. Prostatitis
2. Yeast infection
3. Constant irritation of urethra
4. STD that is not being detected
5. Pelvic muscle contraction

I can't think of any more causes. I do have a questions though...Can bacteria due to prostatitis be detected with a swab or urine sample?

Thats all folks

Ok, i am 16 years old, i have never had sex before and i still got this problem. I remember back when i was little (around 6 years old) i used to have the same problem (idk why) the doctor told my mom to put some cold water in a container and put my penis in it, if i remember well it did work. After doing a few times the pain was gone, around 8 years later the pain comes back, it happened after i masturbated. What i normally when this happens is lay down on the bed and watch TV i will fall sleep eventually and once i am awake the pain is gone. I got to the conclusion that i get the burning sensation when i masturbate too much, it happens randomly so you don't know when is coming. And for some reason it happens every Sunday at night when i know i have due homework for the next day.

BTW: i noticed that i also get some weird pain below my abdomen.

Around 4 months ago I began experiencing sever burning in my urinary tract. I went to the doctor, and they thought it might be an std (although this was highly doubtful). He gave me a 'cocktail' of antibiotics, to be taken on the spot, as well as running urinalysis and blood test. A few days later it got very extreme, painful and burning. I went back to see the Dr and he had the test back... normal. He also prescribed Ciprofloxacin, which I took for 10 days, with no change. I was sent me for more blood work and urine test, including PSA, which all came back normal.

I then went to see a Urologist who also prescribed me Doxycycline for 14 days. As well as swabs.

The Doxycycline didn't seem to be working at all, so I went to see another urologist, referred from my GP. He said all test, blood, swabs, H2 (H1 positive), urine were normal, but when he checked my prostate it was a little sore and swollen. He then put a scope up to my bladder, and he said all was normal, though slightly inflamed.

He put me on a long-term antibiotic (cipro 1000mg) for 30 days, in case it is the prostate that is infected. This cycle of cipro did not work.

I have now been going to a "prostatitis clinic", where it was confirmed prostatitis, enlarged congested prostate, etc. Also, he took a detailed history, and it was found that I have had symptoms of prostatitis dating back almost 10 years! At those times I thought it just a urinary infection that would flare up for a few hours or a day.

I have been off work for a while with this, and getting very depressed and anxious. The only thing that gave any relief was Phenazo, and that has stopped being affective. I am extremely uncomfortable. Discomfort in the perineum, within the gnawing sensation in the urinary tract, and pain and burning near the tip of my penis, post urination. There is no discharge, blood, cloudy urine, etc. Everything seems normal, other then the burning in the tract, which is worse after urinating... NOT during urination, and is constant.

I have been told the burning near the tip could be referral from the prostate, BUT... the strange thing is, when I squeeze it where it hurts it is very tender inside and the pain and burning increases! I feel this is very odd if its referral, as does my Urologist. It seems like something inflammatory to me.

Up to this point I have taken:

Ciprofloxacin
Doxycycline
Cipro
Apo-Sulatrim
Macribid
Apo-Oflox
Xatral
Metronidazole

Current Medication:

Xatral
Doxycycline
Meloxicam

Natural:
Oil of Oregano
Allimax
Wobenzym

Once the antibiotics are complete, I am going to be taking a power anti-fungal, incase these burning symptoms are from all the antibiotics.

I will continue on the antibiotics, but growing more and more concerned. Please give me any advice or point me in a direction that perhaps hasn’t been looked at.
