He ordered an MRI due to the tingling under my left shoulder blade. He recommended a disc replacement of C5 and that he would also shave down a bit of a bone spur that I have. He beleives this will help my tingling sensation thats been going on for 5 years. Getting a 2nd opinion but will keep everyone posted.

same here. There is obviously the same underlying cause. I have been to two phisiotherapists so far, and they look at me in bewilderment. So now waiting for regular family doctors appointment to see what the hell I should do next. It is progressing to the point that I dont feel I will be able to function at all in a short time

Have any of y'all Googled Notalgia? This seems so probable for what I am experiencing. I was honestly thinking it was my bra strap but then realized it happened without a bra. And it is only on one side and only on that one spot. Going to make an appointment asap.

You're definitely on the right track because I have horrible posture but when I change it I don't feel it too much.

I had a similar issue which was part posture related. I used to fly a lot with work, often slumped on planes or tilting to one side. I saw a chiropractor and had a couple of things wrong with me, main points was tilted pelvis and rib alignment.

The rib alignment cured the numb spot on my back. Feel along your sternum at the edges- this might highlight sore spots- also run your hand along the side of your ribs, these should be relatively flat. If you feel a rise at any point you can often push it back in place with a gentle push (see a chiropractor for this initially and advice).

Hope this helped

I have had the same issue, was never prominent enough for me to go see someone about it but did some digging one day and found that it was linked to a nerve being squished in the neck area. No joke my neck was sunken in my shoulders as i was reading through it and when i finished i realised and straightened my neck and after 30 seconds or so the tingling stopped. i let my neck sink back in between my shoulders again and the tingling started a few minutes later and i straightened it again and it stopped... let me know if this helps.

I just noticed about almost two weeks i started feeling tingling on my lower back. Plus with muscle spasms as well. I went to the doctor and he told me i had a muscle strain in my back. So he gave me meds for muscle spasms and meds for my nerves. The meds do make you drowsy and do help. But on the other hand i still have tingling in my back. Also sometimes it feels like my back is on fire. I am very hesitated about going back to the doctor i just don't want the out come to bad. But we shall see what happens.

Update: during stressful exam period, it worsened and spread. I resorted to sitting on a sharp object like a cookie cutter or a square pencil sharpener, a lego, (the skin felt hypersensitive to contact as if I've never sat down before and strangely very insensitive to pain. PS: hope it was inferable where the paresthesia had spread to without me having to explicitly mention it) or not sit down at all because it was so bad. I didn't last through an hour long exam, rocking back and forth and then winding up in fetal position on the floor.

This could possibly make sense , as I have the same and my cat doesn't come and sit on my knee.
I am under a lot of pressure and it has been happening for 6 months now. Wierd eh. I will try what you have said.
