Had a popcorn husk stuck deep in my throat. I could feel it when I talked! Hacked and coughed and spit on and off for a couple of hours and nothing worked. Came here and read the various remedies. The answer? PEANUT BUTTER!!!! I ate one soda cracker with a pile of peanut butter on it and voilà!!!! Gone! Glad this place is here!
I've had the feeling of something caught in my throat for over a month. 2 ENT visits, scoping showed nothing. Doctor thought it was laryngopharyngeal reflux and had me on Prilosec, which wasn't helping. I was honestly scared that I had throat cancer. Today I felt something in the back of my throat and coughed out a piece of popcorn hull coated in stinky bacteria. I last ate popcorn over 5 weeks ago so that freaking thing has been back there since then. The relief I feel now (physical, mental) is indescribable. Just wanted everyone to know that they can stay in there forever; the hull won't necessarily dissolve. I don't think I'll ever eat popcorn again.
