PLEASE READ THIS HELPED ME! I had one stuck in my throat for almost two weeks.
My Mom came to visit and she left behind some "Shedded Wheat Cereal", a common ceral you can get anywhere. I would never buy this Shredded Wheat, but, when I was REALLY hingry I ate a few handfuls DRY. The shreds were like tiny, unbreakable fibers that acted like a rake against my throat and cleared the popcorn shell OUT! I recommend "Mini Wheats." that was what I had. Best of luck!!!!!!!!
I tried everything! But my last resort was to gulp down a ton of water and it worked!! Hope it works for you too.
Q-tip and a mini flashlight. The light allowed me to see exactly where to dig with the q-tip. That little sucker was in a very awkward spot.
I tried this too, and this popcorn is driving me crazy. I don't think I'll eat popcorn anymore
I have been driven nuts all afternoon with this, I got my friend to shine a torch and have a look down my throat, although it felt like it was stuck down the throat it was in fact right on the back of the tongue, then got a spoon and scraped it off, relief was wonderful.
Ive tried every thing ive been told its donr nothing aall its done is made my throat infected and now i cant swallow oh and guess what its still there!
Help seriously I have popcorn stuck in my throat. What do I do
A husk that had lodged in my left tonsil was driving me mad. I could feel it with my tongue, but no amount of coughing, gargling, gagging, swishing water, drinking or eating would dislodge it. It was hidden behind part of the throat and a Q-Tip also was of no use. That's when I went for the surgical instrument -- the tweezers. I was able to shine a flashlight in there, pull some of the skin (or whatever you call that one part) over to the side and see the giant husk protruding from the tonsil. I was worried the Q-Tip alone would push it in deeper, so the tweezers were the perfect alternative. I was able to grab it and pluck it and get relief as I removed the giant husk. I now have it sealed in a jar on my mantle. OK, so the last part is not true, but the rest of my story is. It was the most irritating thing I have experienced for some time.
