To all those who think it's mental or that you just need to get used to it or chill out, you are wrong and you are giving out potentially fatal advice.
I have this same problem these days. I used to smoke all the time, for two decades. Then it suddenly started making me sick. And I mean really sick. As in passing out where I'm standing within 5-10 minutes, puking while still passed out, waking up to puke some more, passing out again, waking up again and having zero energy to move, scaring my stoned friends and getting a nice ride in the ambulance as a result. Yeh, not fun. Being stubborn to give it up and thinking it was just a bad batch, I tried again. No dice. So I tried smaller amounts. No dice there either. Each time was a miserable experience and exercise in stupidity. I gave up after realizing that just one hit off a blunt would cause me to puke my guts out and be very weak for hours after. It is not mental and it is a change that can happen to anyone's body at anytime. And it completely sucks.
I asked an allergist about it and she was not able to test for a marijuana allergy, and doubts it is actually an allergy. But she did say this is not at all uncommon. There are people who can use weed and get a normal high, people to whom it's like ingesting poison, and even people who don't get a high off it no matter how much they ingest in one sitting. And, anyone's body can change how it reacts at any time.
So count yourself lucky if you can use it, and have a little compassion for those of us in this situation.
all the regular pot heads on here and in life will never EVER understand. they think pot is like a god/ it soothes them... so they will think your just acting crazy or making it up. ignore them they have never experienced hell like thatbe different rather than smoking because i have asthma so i thought that was why it never went too well. anyways... people that pressure you dont understand and they never will..cant explain the color yellow to a blind man. yes its like an allergy but not exactly an allergy. how the mind produces its hormones is different for everyone. you my dear are different. so am i. we are not meant to be smoking it eating it or anything with it. im 33 just tried a pot brownie-10 years after the last time i had pot ...thought maybe ingesting it might actually have a different effect. it was even worse!!!!! i puked all night- laid my head on rocks face down and had chest pain and became so weak throughout my whole body and it hurt my whole body- i couldnt talk, just whimper...and just wanted to be left alone. when trying to look at someone my eyelids would blink quickly and i couldnt keep control of my body. as i said just wanted to be left alone until it was over- days after i was still run down and "out of it" miserable... your body rejects it. so does mine. others can handle it. our central nervous systems simply dont function well with it and become dysfunctional. i wouldnt doubt you have other allergies like to pennicillian dust mold things like that as well. i also have reactions to narcotics. fully allergic to those. when given through iv my veins swell and burn and turn red its freaky as hell.. but dont think you can ever in anyway shape or form ever have it in your system again. i know i learned the hard way! and no you werent too high and no it wasnt in your head something you can control... you chemically are different. taking just a little bit will send you over the edge...its hard cuz i tell people i cant and then they get even more curious to see what happens...those people suck..they think its in your head..its not...just stay away from it! tell them your throat swells up that will shut them up. i think some peoples' lifes paths are just not meant towards drugs- really think about it- its a blessing
sorry for typos doing this from my phone-the post that says- "all the regular pot heads on here" my phone tends to misplace sentences and put them in odd places so if the beginning doesnt make sense just ignore it- ty
Allergies and reactions to drug, inhaled or ingested has nothing to do with frame of mind. Just because it is fine for some people to smoke doesn't mean it is ok for others. Not everything all natural is good for everyone. Bee venum, peanuts, eggs and corn can cause severe allergic reactions and even death in some people. You need to read a little more before you make ignorant comments.
This is all very interesting. I am researching what I think is an allergic reaction to pot. My daughter has smoked pot a couple of times and had no reaction other than the high. On Friday night she ate a 1/4 of a cookie with made with pot butter. When she woke up in the morning her face looked puffy, especially her eyes, like she had been crying and rubbing her eyes. She said she had not but her face felt puffy to her. Later in the day, her lips swelled up huge and her hands began to swell. As the day and evening progressed it got worse. I had her take benedryl for several hours however the swelling continues and her throat began to feel tight. She went to the emergency room and they put her on a prednizone IV drip for 4 hours and sent her home. Today, Monday, she is still itching and feels funny. At the time her reaction started we didn't even remember she had ate that cookie, we just remembered today. So her reaction was delayed and continuing. I am courious as to if anyone has had this type of delayed long acting reaction? It is the only new thing she had injested that we can think of. Help anyone?
Hi there - just saw your post. I have had many friends try pot and have this reaction...I have narrowed it down to theobromine, anandamide, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) cannabidiol, cannabidiol and cannabigerol. I do not have any studies to back of my findings but my husband had a reaction to chocolate (theobromine) which is the same he had to marijuana - heartaches, puking and hallucinations. I know for certain there are at least 10 people that I know who have the same reactions you do. My daughter being one of them. And she only had 1 or 2 tokes and instant puking. She will not ever try it again. (Thank God.)
People keep claiming marijuana is harmless, but there are no studies to back up that finding. There is actually a few studies that have to do with "making one dumber" by using marijuana and that it hits the reward center of the brain (so no better than alcohol, illegal drugs or pharmaceutical drug addiction. The only studies claiming marijuana is good is a derivative of marijuana in a cancer study. There are more compounds than the ones I listed above that we don't even fully know about and potentially a whole host of toxic problems with marijuana. Good luck!
Using even first dose of narcotics destroying irreversibly soul. It look like invisible for anyone surgery. As a result this unpainfull surgery soul and body separated from each other. It difficult to imagine let start with something very easy to understand. If remove any of endocrine organs for rest of life person need be on replacement therapy . if removed ovary on estrogen replacement, if thyroid gland on thyroid hormones replacement .e.t.c .If removed soul by first dose of narcotics use need replacement therapy for absence of soul What is replacement therapy for soul?-It is narcotics.. It constant self medication with narcotics . Our surgeons know how to remove thyroid gland or ovary or testicles but surgeons do not know how put buck thyroid gland, ovaries or testicles e.t.c just hormonal pills.. Come buck to analogy - same with soul .If it removed it absent for forever. Question why we need soul is for people who still have it. Those ,who already" post operated" it doesn't mater anymore. Emptiness without borders which need always fill with narcotics is a sign of soul absence.. When we have soul we even do not know where it is, but when we lost it we fill emptiness in every single cell, which fill unhappy without drug or alcohol. Treatment for absence of soul not in replacement therapy( conception) narcotics or alcohol. Treatment is understanding the problem first and second asking GOD to give the second chance to have privilege to have soul buck. People who did it and get soul buck pricing it very high and never want lost it again .Around us a lot of narcotic users who constantly advocate for it or people who got money from keeping business go on,,not so many ex-narcotic users. But if you know any it worth to ask them a questions .They knows more then medical doctors about what really works and what doesn't in treatment .
I ate a 10mg edible and had a horrible reaction, I should have gone to the hospital but didn't. I didn't fall asleep till almost 6am the next day... it's been 10 weeks and I'm still dizzy every day. Do you have any advise?
