Hello Ladies,
Well I recently had a tummy tuck on August 2010. I found out I was pregnant two weeks later, I was 6 weeks pregnant when I had the surgery. At this point I am 15 weeks and 6 days pregnant. So far, everything seems fine with the baby and I. This week I started bleeding and having cramping... I went to the ER and everything seems fine with the baby; however, the ligaments and muscles are stretching out and ripping causing bleeding and pain. The baby so far looks good. I had a tummy tuck because we already have 3 kids and we were done...here comes baby #4. My daughter was asking for a sister and here comes baby #4...we still don't know the gender of the baby but we sure know this is our miracle baby...If it's a girl we are going to call her KAYLA MARIE...
I hope all is good!!!!
Let me know if you ladies have any advise for me :-)

Ladies,
Anyone of you here delivered thier baby after the tummy tuck? if so would you be kind to answer some of the questions posed in this thread from all those pregnant ladies following a tuck?
I am in a similar position, two and a half years ago, I gave birth to twins at 38 weeks, but I was a triple decker bus, I did a tummy tuck about 1.5 years ago and got 'a body' back. I was shocked to find I am pregnant again. I am worried what the tummy would look like after wards, would it be as bad ad before or just like with one baby? during the tuck I hade musle repair the works.
I am also worried about all that lost skin from twins, how on earth will this new tight skin stretch out and back again, if it had been super stretched by two big babies before, not to mention my eldest child.
Many thanks for your thoughts.

So if you have delivered vaginally for all other births but have a TT and get pregnant unexpectedly will you need to then have a C-section? Just curious if anyone knows of a situation like that? Thanks.
Hi, i'm from england & had a TT done 2 yrs &4 months ago. i had to have it done as after having a c section i got mrsa & my muscles basicaly collapsed. i was only 26 at the time & my surgeon told me that if i was to get pregnant again the baby would die because it wouldnt have room to grow. I really have become broody since my youngest started school & would like another baby but i'm really scared & have no one to ask about it as i dont know any one else that has had a TT. any advice?
thanks
thanks
I had a tummy tuck a year ago after giving birth t my 10 lb baby , it totally disfigured my small 5; 2" frame so I had TT and breast implants. Giving birth and recovering after major surgey was hell on earth even though I waited a year in between. I finally began t feel like a woman again n not a disfigured mommy when I unexpectedly got pregnant while changing birth control methods. Every pregnancy, surgery, body type, and experience is very diff from the next so u really hav t consult w ur doctors. My plastic surgeon sdaid I could have a baby but it would totally destroy all his reconstruction. For me I cannot imagine goin through all that again and still caring f children. I love my saughter t death but my body cannot tolerate the stress not t mention t emotional toll. I won't b keeping this baby but everyones decision is personal. I think I will get my tubes tied in order t prevent another scare, but I do want t have more chilfren in the future...via serugate. Its just as costly or less as doing it urself minus all the physical trauma. God bless all of thnose women who truly we're made f child bearing!
Ahh I feel for all of you ladies and Im now 100 percent positive that I am going to have my husband fixed before getting my tt and boobie job after after one more baby this year! But that's when the pregnancy happens, they are a blessing and worth it but always seem to happen when its really not the most ideal time in life.... Do it all over again don't get me wrong. But Ive told so many friends having a hard time getting pregnant to to get a bottel of jack daniels dress up like a cheerleader and hop in the back of the car for a quickie!:-)
If it makes any of you feel any better I to had similar situations I was finally bikini ready loved my bod (very rare like twice in my hole life) and I was finally offered a role in a horror movie supporting role but non the less. I have wanted to do one my entire life. So Hubby and I where trying to have a baby for about 6 months and werent successful so I figured I was under weight or to stressed to get pregnant sure enough, not a week or two weeks later after thought I find out im 2 months pregnant 6 weeks before shooting. I was not lucky like some of you with 3 pounds I instantly gained 15 with out even trying. God bless!

im 7weeks and had a tt 4 years ago. i've read most of the stories and pretty much u feel tightness which im feeling now. my question is am im suppose to feel it so high up? i dont feel it in my lower belly part im feeling everything mid to upper part. anyone out there experience this?? worried!! :-(
I had a tummy tuck with full muscle repair in 2006 when I had lost a lot of weight and my husband and I had decided that we didn't want any more kids. 12 months after I had my tuck my husband told me that he wanted more kids. I rang my Dr who advised me to be at least 12months post op before TTC but also that I would more than likely require a re-tightening of things after the pregnancy. So we went with it. It was approx 18months after the op that I fell pregnant. I did experience a lot of tightening of the skin and a bit more pain when stretching the wrong way, but it all held together really well and I delievered normally and on time. No c-section was required or even recommended
I went on to fall pregnant again when my son was 8months old and experienced exactly the same throughout the pregnancy, things just felt quite tight. I got the Dr's to check my abdominal muscles each time I had a check up and they held up well. After the birth my stomach muscles contracted back the way they should have been and I've had no lasting damage that any medical professional can see. The skin is looser, but I don't have that horrible 'overhang' of skin that I got with my first two pregnanices, I think the tuck has actually helped to lessen that effect as well.
I will need to go back and have a mini tuck to neaten things up again, but it's certainly not going to be the major overhaul I had to have last time. Both of my babies were average size, around 6-7pd, but with my last I carried a lot bigger because I had a lot of fluid. I think how your body handles it depends on your body type and how far past your surgery will depend on how it can handle the stretching. I know for the first 6 months after my tuck I couldn't straighten up all the way or even lie flat and stretch my arms out above my head without it pulling, but by 12months post op I could.
Also don't forget that it's not like it's a sudden change from flat stomach to beach ball, it expands over 9 months and it's such a slow process that it gives your body time to adjust.

I think if you are still able to get pregnant, they should offer the option to have your tubes tied as well. I know that I wouldn't want to spend the money to have the work done to possibly have it undone by an unexpected pregnancy. I pray everything goes well for you all!
Im 8 months pregnant right now. I have a few new stretch marks. I have had some mild discomfort. I feel more movement in the pelvic region and the sides of tummy. The skin has stayed taught throughout. Im gaining more slowly and alot of people cant even tell im pregnant. My doctor said everything is great. I will prob get another mini one after this 3rd child. i to thought I was done. Remarried and 9 years after my last kiddo got pregnant. Oh well its worth it : ) I will post in a month in a half to tell everyone how it went!
I also had tummy tuck and 2 weeks later I got pregnant. I was worried all that work will go down the drain. But apparently I haven't shown much, people can barely tell I'm pregnant. I'm now 6 months. But I have noticed a few stretch marks and I'm worried the bigger I get the more I'll get.
I had a full abdominoplasty earlier this year to repair muscular damage caused by 3 previous c-sections. And to everyone's shock, mine included, I found out that I was pregnant 7 weeks after surgery. My stitches hadn't completely dissolved & I was still wearing a binder. But it is now 6 months later, and the baby is healthy as far as I know, & I feel great. My belly is measuring 6 weeks behind schedule, but ultrasound indicates that the baby is the right size. Good luck.
This is a great forum! I am 9 weeks pregnant 3 years post TT, the TT was the best thing I did for myself. I didn't plan to have more children but once I was confident and felt beautiful again, I met & married a wonderful man. My surgeon says pregnancy is fine, I even had muscle revision. I am wondering if people were able to work till the end? I don't care much for my ob- seems very factory like in my town, but she says I will work till 38 weeks. I drive 7 hours a day so hope she doesn't make me suffer! (rather gave no pay and not have to be in car!)
Anyhow these stories are fabulous!!
I had a tummy tuck 2 yrs ago this june and have done everything possible to get pregnant and still nothing. Is it me?
Have you tried preseed? It has worked for several people I know...
