I'm about 6 weeks along. Starting sometime last week, I have been experiencing very light cramping/ pain on my left lower abdominal area. Someone else here mentioned "twinges" which I think is more accurate than "pain". Its more uncomfortable than anything. It happens sporadically throughout the day, sometimes not even happening that day, but almost every night I feel it when I am in bed. I think it happens more often when I am sitting or laying down. I havent noticed it as much when standing. I was concerend, and of course, when I looked up this symptom online the only thing that comes up is ectopic pregnancy. I noticed that sometimes the twinge is on the right, but only once or twice. I don't know if feeling this on both sides could be an ectopic pregnancy, or if I'm just experiencing "phantom" pains on the right to convince myself that everythying is all right. Right now I am very worried that this is an ectopic pregnancy. I am visiting my doctor today for my first prenatal checkup. I'll make sure to update you all. So far this is the best thread I have found with dealing with this. Almost everywhere else just describes ectopic pregnancy symptoms as a very generic "pain". Here, there are people who have had ectopics before and are describeing them much better, and also some people who thought they had an ectopic, but did not, but also describe what they were feeling in lines of pain. very helpful.
Not sure what it can be but I hope things are okay and Im hoping its just ligments strching, I know as for me I had alot of streching pain. Well lets see what your Dr will ay he might order a ultra sound, I say if it gets worse to go to ER. They will scan and be able to tell asap. Good luck
I just got back from my doctor. He said that things seemed normal, but sent me to get blood work done to check progesterone level and something else (i forget offhand.). I will get them done tomorrow, and then the same blood tests in 48 hours after the first one. He said that will help confirm that the pregnancy is normal. Also scheduled a intra-vaginal ultrasound in two weeks (which is 8 weeks for me). I'm still paranoid, but feel a little better after talking to the doctor. My advice for anyone, see the doctor as soon as you can. being able to talk to a doctor, face to face, helped with some anxiety.
I missd my period last month and yesterday I woke up with cramps on left side and nausa and.i had a white discharg does this mean I might be pregnant
I saw your post and I'm having the exact thing you described, what did it wind up being?
Hi im 11weeks and 5days pregnant i have three cyst one on my left and two on my right. I just started having really bad pain on my right side,my lower back is killing me as well as my stomach it hurts me everyday just wanted to know if anyone has had this pain.
Jeneva,i'm having the same problems as you & Karen..i'm about 7wks & i went to the er a few days ago because i had extremly painful cramps(no bleeding though)and a doctor told me my beta hcg levels werent high enough for them to do an ultrasound. Went to another hospital the next day, suprisingly the same doctor who told me that my levels had gone frm 629-1226 from the day before. So they did an ultrasound,no crown/rump length or yolk sac seen? He however did tell me that he saw cysts on my righy ovary but could not rule out ectopic..diagnosed me wth a pseudogestational sac and sent me home. Could this be molar or ectopic pregnancy.? Please give me your feedback..i cant get in to see a specialist for 2wks & this is really puzzling. Thank you.
Don't let all these comments scare you. Of course talk to your doctor and maybe get an ultra sound for a peice of mind but I have pains on my right side and am 8 weeks pregnant and already had all my blood work come back great, told my doctor about it, got an ultra sound and everything is great. I also work at a gym and speak with many pregnant woman all of which say every pregnancy is different and they all got pains the throughout pregnancy. Your body is going through a lot of changes. Just listen to what your body needs and all will be fine. Also I noticed that I would stand dominantly on one leg. Put all my weight on my right side and when I switched it up and sat more the pains did not go away completely but are few and far between. The ultra sound also helped with peice of mind. Stress is the worst for the baby and you so please ladies just breathe and take the steps needed to feel better but know that all these sob stories of different womens problems aren't going to help. You are your own woman. Google is the last thing you want to do when something is bothering you. Have you noticed its always the worst most negative answers of extremes. I'm sure you are fine and go assure yourself so you can enjoy your pregnancy. Cramps, pains, aches and all;)
That sounds serious. I think you need to find out ASAP, if you have a UTI (when it hurts to pee) and you leave it untreated it can turn to a bad kidney infection
I hate to saythis but it sounds like eihther a histarical pregnancy or miscarrage if u r bleeding
Im 6 months 2weeks im having same problem n scared :(
I think anyone with any sharp internal pains, bleeding, or debilitating discomfort in pregnancy, no matter how early or late, should go see their doctor. I feel scared when I read this that womem are keeping these things "to themselves". Maybe your doctor doesn't make you feel comfortable coming to them for every "little" thing. They should. But it doesn't matter. Go to your doctor to protect yourself and your baby!
no karen its normal as i am also 6 weeks pregnant my doctor told me it would be gas or acidity problem nothing much she is a well experienced gynac so dont woory its not ectopic pregnancy unless u have bleeding during pregnancy
As my doctor said, aches and pains are part of pregnancy, am 24 weeks and have these lower abdominal pains that are bad when am sleeping, but much better when walking, my doc did an ultrasound and urine test and all is well, I just have to persevere and take a pain killer if the pain is unbearable. I come from Africa (Kenya ) where roads are terrible in the rural areas and that only worsens the pain. But its good to remain positive and cheerful, good thing is in four months there will be a bundle of joy that will make the pain worthwhile. Hang in there ladies
im 27 weeks and 4 days. i have been having pains on my left side for the past 3 weeks. but with i was 21 weeks i had a tear on the placenta. and when i had my ultrasound last week they seen nothing wrong. but the pain continued then when i seen my doctor he said its called a belly button hurnia which goes from right to left and around where belly button is but its normal then he also said it could be the baby laying on ur left side and pushing on it.
