im on my 15 months I feel really awful sometime, I always thought that after reaching 1 year would be enough to feel normal again but i was wrong and im so afraid that i will be like this forever but after reading your post telling that you also suffer for 18 months it gave me hope
I understand. What made it for me was Nicotine. Yes I'm addicted but I feel good and don't have cigarette Tar. I do cardio everyday for 30 mins. I'm not trying to incite people to Nicotine but it's like caffeine...as long as you don't have too much you're ok.
Hey mate its me again (6 years quit), i just wanna know the impact of your vaping on anxiety. I m sick of this anxiety which i never faced as smoker
I quit smoking one and a half months back. It was smooth sailing at first and easy to curb the urge to light one. After 15 days I started getting allergy symptoms(postnasal drip, watery eyes, cough) every 4 days or so. Now that I read comments here, I am relieved that these are normal symptoms of quitting smoke. I vow not to smoke another cigarette ever again.
I get you...for me the anxiety is all gone since the vaping. It's the Nicotine that helps.
I believe that most smoker are anxious people in general (Like me). So stopping affects our level of anxiety

Spot on!!! I m just thinking how to incorporate nicotine back in life safely after 6 years absense. I dont want to smoke again or vap but i might need nicotine as a fix( though not healthy)
But mate if u do your research u will find they say nicotine increase stress/anxiety instead of minimizing it.
small doses...you can also use the nicotine Gums or lozenges
Well in my case the intake of nicotine brought me back to the same level of anxiety (that was null). Again it was the first 18 months that I felt much anxiety, every morning and some panic attacks during the day. I was feeling depressed also. This, in my opinion, was because my natural Serotonin was not kicking in again. Like if my brain forgot how to produce it after so many years of smoking.
The brain stops generating natural Serotonin after starting to smoke (I don't know how long). Because the Nicotine acts like Serotonin that keeps us happy avoiding stress, anxiety, depression, etc. But after so many years of having Nicotine, I guess, depending on our age, life style, health, etc, etc simply forgets how to produce Serotonin.

Its me Malik again (6 years quit). Yes u r right ,its all the problem of serotonin as one my friend (psychiatrist) advised.
He said anxious people have less serotonin but he prescribed antidepressent and advised not to go back to nicotine, he said antidepressent will help with serotonin making

Yes antidepressent will do the job
Antidepresssent and nicotine both can help, i m just deciding which way to go ,which one has less risks involved
Yes, antidepressants and anti anxiety meds helps some people and is definitely worth a try...in my case, they made me feel worse. I guess it's a matter of finding the right one. Still have some cig cravings after 9 months, but gets easier. I'm using nicotine gum which I've become kind of dependent on. Also dealing with misc health issues, stomach problems, sinus problems, and other misc. Not sure all these issues were brought on by my stopping smoking or just getting older....hard to say.
Personally, I do not like pills
I don't like pills either....they present a whole different set of problems (for some people).....
