Just for the people who wondered : No, you dont sweat to "access" or "flush" THC from your fat cells. You sweat (and have temperature desregulations) because THC binds and affects parts of the brain, including the hypotalamus which, you can guess, is reponsible for a lot of hormones related with temperature, sleep, dopaminergic and serotonergic fibers (this explains the mood, brain fog..), etc.

For my particular case, i started using 2 1/2 years ago. In 4 ocassions i've done months (6,4,4 and 2) with daily use (max usage i recorded was 3/4 oz a week the first 2 times).
I always stop cold turkey. The most recent was last sunday. Last night i got the sweats, and i know tonight might be worst.

And i have seen the same another user posted : Has i've lost weight in all this time, each time ive had more withdrawal symtomps. (most people gain weight on weed.. xD)
This could be related to the THC binding to fat. If you are fatter, you will have more reservoirs of THC, so your body will have a steady stream of THC after quitting. And, as most people will have diminished appetite, the body will break down fats. (makes sense. doesnt mean it is correct tho).

So, best wishes for all of us who are on the quitting train (no matter the reason).
It sucks! But it sucks even more to be dependant on a substance. (and it sucks even more that i cant get to that awesome place high in the clouds where i can see the rest of the world and their petty fights. Tolerance sucks.)

Well... update :
that night wasnt that bad. the next one was better. Last night was good, tho im still a little sweaty.
The feeling of "a headache is coming" also has diminished. I think the worst has passed (knock on wood).
I think the harder part is when friends insist you to "vape a little, will make you feel better" and see their dissapointed face when you say "no". Hopefully my negative could rub on them a little and make them consider tapering down/quit for a while.

Dont give up! Better days will come.

Not correct, there are studies on this. Exercise will be better but obviously more labor intensive. Studies showed that hottubs and saunas both worked

I have stopped smoking weed for over 2 weeks now. All I have is nightmares and dreams every night, wake up sweating also. At the moment I also have covid , so my symptoms are all messed up , I can’t tell which is which , but I think stopping weed is making me have weird nightmares and lucid dreams. It’s kinda easier when you have covid cause you literally can’t smoke weed. Makes my heart race 10times more. But when quitting it , i get sweats on the night when I wake up , head aches, nightmares , that’s all I noticed , and also an increased appetite. If you quitting weed , just hang in there , I know we will become stronger from quitting it. Just find the hero inside yourself. Good luck to all.

I'm glad I'm not the only one sweating. I also get headaches. I've been smoking now for 15 years. My hands and feet sweat all day. I feel fevered sometimes. I'm on day four and I don't plan on relapsing. It is very hard, but I'm gonna stick with it. Its for a new job so I hope everything works out for me. Even if I don't get the job I plan on stopping.
