The most likely possibility here is that you are having something known as a vasovagal reaction. The vagal nerve is one of the most important nerves in the body, whose job is to regulate basic body functions, like blood pressure, heart rate, etc. In some people, a strong internal stimulus, such as a bowel movement and the intestinal contractions leading up to a bowel movement, can sometimes stimulate the vagal nerve, triggering all sorts of symptoms, like flushing, nausea, dizziness, racing heart and, even, passing out. This set of unwanted symptoms is called a "vasovagal reaction." I would recommend that you go to see your primary care doctor about this issue. A vasovagal reaction is not in and of itself usually dangerous, especially if it is not happening frequently and if it does not lead to passing out or injury. However, it is important for you to have a complete physical check up to make sure that these symptoms you are experiencing are not related to another, more serious medical problem. For instance, your doctor can check for any evidence of a heart problem and rule that out. Make an appointment to see your doctor at your earliest possible convenience!

It was wonderfully helpful to read that you experience more troubles having some caffeine and heavy sugar ...my last terrible episode Sept 19 and lasted 36 hours actually.... ( still unstable today)...I started off the day with a large cup of decaf coffee very sweet, black, and a toasted 2- sticks cheddar /multugrain bread sandwich....this was preceded by a big square of Hershey Dark... nothing new....in less than 30 minutes I have a full blown "panic attack" , HR 120, trembling, very nervous...scared...I drank 2 Pedialytes in the next 3 hours (usual daily due to K+loss problem)...usually settles things in a couple of hours...this time it was 14 hours to get HR to below 100 and go to sleep with diminished symptoms...symptoms returned on waking up 3 hours later..but HR nearer 100...loose stool every few hours. Trying to get at the trigger , I read the ingredients on the newly purchased loaf of bread, a new variety, and I found an additive listed, an antibiotic intended to kill mold used often, named Natamycin. It is possible to be allergic to this. I have allergies as do many people with Dysautonomic disorders...and am sadly learning the abdominal symptoms are part of these syndromes...today looking back over the years of occasional attacks , I have remembered occurences coming after milkshakes, and nutrition shakes....so the sugar connection is there for me too....makes me think maybe the pancreas overstimulates and in the stomach's predigestion time, those 30 minutes, the blood sugar drops precipitating the "nervous" reaction and then the adrenal system overdoes its duty....things get better as food, in my case, is absorbed in the next hour or two, but this time they did not, thus the question about Natamycin....and I don't dare repeat the cheese sandwich as an experiment !
I have been receiving notifications for this topic, as it was something I experienced for a few years. The episodes were awful and exhausting. I was so glad to find this topic because I finally felt like I wasn't the only person who had this. I took some of the things I read here and implemented them. My number of episodes has decreased *significantly*. I attribute the improvement to the following: 1. I quit all forms of caffeine. This has been the most helpful of anything I have done. 2. I take magnesium supplements (and not magnesium oxide that is most common in grocery stores...check the labels). Currently I take 400mg of a Magnesium citrate blend. 3. I quit all forms sugar except sugar that naturally occurs (such as fruits, some veggies, etc.) and eat some protein with every meal. 4. When I do get an episode (which is now rare) I immediately start using Dr. Weil's breathing technique called the 4-7-8 breath. It is quite easy to learn by watching a free video on you tube. I trained myself to use it when I sense anxiety rising. If you were to pick one of these, I would suggest cutting caffeine first to see if it makes a difference. If I drink even one cup of regular coffee first thing in the morning, I will have an episode that evening. Thankfully, I can drink a cup or two of oolong tea and I do not get the effect. But no caffeinated sodas or coffee. This is only my experience, but perhaps it will help someone else.
Also I have to reduce the stress in my life. I know this is a big factor also make sure I try to eat the right foods and get plenty of sleep and rest. I think this and taking beta blockers and Valium is all I can do.I feel for each and everyone that has posted here because I know how scary and hard this is to deal with. I wish you each and everyone good luck. Be sure to read the doctors message here.
Been there done all of that!! Check out Candida Albicans ( yeast overgrowth in your gut). Dr William Crooks author of "The Yeast Connection" hit it on the head. It's all in the diet. Hard to commit but improvement will be life saving. Worked for me I the 1990s. Gradually slipped off my forbidden foods over the ensuing years and had to go back watching diet 2 weeks ago. Miraculous stomach issues and brain fog, aches gone in two days!! research Canididiasis (spell?).

Forward 13 years: Since I never increased my dose of Klonopin, I began to go through Interdose withdrawal. I have stopped the beta blocker, and began tapering off the Klonopin. Guess what? I'm going through the same symptoms that put me on the poison Klonopin to begin with!
Do whatever you can to get stress under control in your life. Mine has come to a halt. Klonopin withdrawal is a long nightmare! Stay away from the addictive drugs; there are natural alternatives.
