Hi, my bf has had a rash on the head of his penis for about 8 months and has been told it is a yeast infection, given prescription Diflucan and it's still not gone. Can anyone tell me what they think it is. It doesn't itch or burn, just annoying. Has anyone been told it would be penile cancer, or some sort of fungus? Been doing lots of reading and sound pretty common. Any suggestions would be great

No, he hasn't tried with diet. But he has gone to regular Family Dr. Do you think just altering diet will clear this up cause the medication doesn't seem to be working.

A yeast infection won't last for 8 months, especially after using an antifungal cream. Some other possibilities: eczema, a skin allergy, irritation from rubbing against clothing, sensitivity to a soap or cleanser, among others. Have him try using a non-allergenic cleanser in the shower, avoid tight clothing, wear natural fabrics, and try a penis health creme (Man1 Man Oil is a popular brand). A quality Shea butter cream is often helpful for clearing up rashes.
