Only in winter I get little tiny dry spots, they only appear on my upper arm where a tee shirt cuts off i never used to get them. They are usually smaller than dimes they do not itch. If i scratch them they flake and will bleed.
But when they first appear they look like five to 12 little goose bumps that are raised but do not discolor unless rubbed. apear in circular but not perfect circles. They get worse whe. And after I shower. They appeared after i moved to north east iowa. But only after several years. My older brother had them first! right after we moved and he only gets them on his upper arms! i now get them in the same places. I recently moved to the twin cities and this winter they seem to be getting worse! i lived in ND for years and never had this problem. I think its caused by a wet cold cilmate. But it perplexes me that i never have them in the summer...
It happens to me every year starts in November ends in May and this is going to sound crazy but it works vapor rub gets rid of the patches in a day apply the vapor rub on the patches 3/5 times a day and they just go away.
If you get them on your face make sure not to get the rub in your eye but it can be used any where on the body.
It has worked wonderfully for me and my sister and we know it isn't ringworm because there was 9 children in my family and only my younger sister and I had this what we call winter's itchys.

Hey Micky,
I live in SA too and have been experiencing the exact same thing! It starts up every year around April and runs through winter months till about August. I usually also experience a rash on my lower lip around the same time though. I wonder if you've found any answers to your question? I also wonder if it is environmental. It seems a few people are experiencing it from around the globe... so perhaps not.

I have this! Eucerin will take it away in days. The thick cream version. Apply it as often as possible and don't let it dry. Neosporin seems to help as well, if you rotate applications with the Eucerin
I live in Minnesota and I have had something like this in the past. I went to a derm. and was told It was Minnesota skin. I am a flight attendant and was using the free soaps from hotels. He said those soaps are cheap and usually deodorant soaps. He told me to start using Dove non scent. This isn't a commercial for Dove but using Dove and putting lotion on after my shower. I use lubriderm lotion with 15 sun screen. I haven't gotten the rashes in many years.
Have you figured this issue out yet? Mine sounds exactly the same, except I have them on my inner thighs. Reoccurring every few months. Makes me very fatigued also. Thanks!
