The way it sounds its got nothing to do with being a gymnast and heavily involved in sports I'd go to ur Dr and get tested for polycystic overys syndrome I'm a long distance cross country runner and rider and only just been diagnosed with it 3 months ago after being told that it's to do with my sports as had children already

Hi, this is normal since you stopped competing as a gymnast, sometimes major changes in your body can throw your period off for a while. The black stuff is Normal, happens to some of us. No need to worry :) hope this helps

Thank you so much. This has never happened to me over the years since my period and i was worried that there was something wrong with my body.

If you haven't had sex you cannot get pregnant. The reason this is happening is because you are not pregnant. There's a lot you still need to learn before engaging in sex if you haven't yet. The best advice I could give you is to wait & talk with your doctor. From the sounds of everything, it's all normal, but you should get used to being open with your doctor anyways for future benefits.

It's normal, don't worry. It's just another part of your period that comes out of your uterus. Everyone gets it eventually and you just carry on with it as usual

Girls don't worry about it. It's nothing like that, your body is just cleaning itself. I'm 22 and I've had sex before so you being a virgin has nothing to do with it. Its completely normal and we still have many more years to deal with that substance.

Since your a gymnast it screwed up your cycle and now your body is shell shocked. If you still have a problem get a full blood work to check your fsh/ LH and thyroid it may be a hormone in balance.I didn't have this but I was very sporty it took awhile for things to settle

If you have never had sex you can't be pregnant.

No it's just part of the cycle, when the egg come into the uterus it realises that it's not furtilized (haven't had sex) so all the blood that the uterus has built up to hold the egg come out.
