So i have that same exact thing, but also when i get out of the shower i get itchy red blotches all over my body that disappear in like 15 minutes. alot of the time my beard and my scalp itch like crazy too. sometimes i get a really bad crawling feeling. i started having problems when i dated this kinda sleazy girl when i was 16. i'm 18 now and the severity of the itching only escalated. i get those same red blotches and everything. i went to the doctor also and they said i was clean. soooo i really dont know what to do and its really embarrassing. i swear if i dont find relief i will scratch myself to a little nub.

Did you ever find out what was wrong? I have very similar symptoms, I know this was a long time ago. But I have never come across someone who had the blotches after the shower too, thanks.

Itchy red blotches after the shower... that brings back memories! I had the same thing for years -- from the time I was a child until I was in my 30's and figured it out on my own. It happened every time I showered or bathed and every time I got caught in the rain. My mom used to tease me that I was allergic to water. Well, I was allergic, but not to water. The blotches are hives and it happens because you've gotten something on your skin that you're allergic to: shampoo, the soap you use in the shower, the soap you use in your laundry, hair conditioner. For me, it was the shower soap and the laundry detergent. When I switched to unscented Dove and Tide Free, the hives stopped happening. Try it out. Eliminate one thing at a time until you stop getting the hives. Good luck.

This rash developed on the groin of a 24-year-old man shortly after a sexual contact. He has been with the same partner for several months. She recently changed her birth control method. Which of the following conditions do you suspect?

Case 2: Contact dermatitis

This patient had an allergic reaction to the new spermicidal jelly used by his partner, E. Cultures showed no growth, and Gram staining did not reveal any organisms. The rash resolved with application of a topical corticosteroid cream, and the patient was told to avoid future contact with the spermicidal jelly.

But what I don't get is that, I have never had sex (15 here) and I stay pretty clean. I shower every morning and such. So
None of what any one is saying has helped me...

I first posted on here 24th October I had really bad symptoms back then at not long after posting I went to my local hospital and got checked for STDs I was clean. The Dr said I just had dry skin and along with the heat of exercise and itching, my skin had got worse. I no longer have any red patches but one area  (about size of the end of my thumb) can sometimes get itchy and is slightly rougher to the touch.
Dr prescribed cream which did not help. She also advised me not to use harsh soaps etc.

I now only wash with dove soap due to all of my other allergies which seem to be getting out of hand! However I still get the red tichy blotches in the shower but that could be due to my other allergies.

Anyone else found any relief yet?

I have had it for years, comes and goes.

Sometimes stays one day sometimes longer.

Extreme itching bump or bumps.

I think it is a fungus and also an allergy to something you eat.

Lamisil etc works to keep itching down.

If food allergy, write down what you eat and keep track of it.

You will find a certain something you eat and it comes up. ..each and every time.

Not something you eat every day.

Mine is something in Chinese food, not all chinese food, just something some chinese restaurants put in and others don't.

Hope it helps.

I got the same thing, it started when I used a new soap, I haven't used the soap in a few days and it has gotten better, it's still there, but much better, I'll try some cream for it to see if it will go away, hopefully...
