I just another post on this from an MD and she said it sounded like a fungi infection. Simple fix! Go to the drug store and grab some cream or spray. She also said wear cotton underwear, shower daily and keep the area dry. It can spread to other parts of the body too so it's not just a gental affecting problem. Hope this helps!

Do not apply soap over it....do not scratch on dat area....apply clotrimazole, beclomethasone dipropionate and neomycin sulphate cream

I think it may affect it. I have this problem and it gets worse around my period, when I use sanitary towels.

I too have similar problem sometimes.
But I apply baby oil, or medicated olive oil(you can get get it at the pharmacist's/Boots). This soothes itchiness and dry skin around the pubic area/the crutch. Lightly rub in to your skin twice a day. (Day time and bed time).

I used to break out in red patches after showering as well but I started to reduce the temperature of my shower and the problem disappeared. Something similar to what happens when your cheeks become flushed from the hot weather happens to your skin in a hot shower

Hope this is helpful

I believe you are correct it is not contagious and in can spread on you, so what can be done other than hydro cortazone cream I have the same issue it's annoying and I have had it for years it started as a tiny bumplike spot now it's like the size of a dime going up into the pubic hair

Hi I to have itchy patches around the groin and scrotum.
think that most of you have fungal groin infection - tinea cruris.
Any warm damp areas of the skin that cannot dry quickly can become infected with a fungas.
Just a thought.
Good luck.
