At first I thought it was shingles, but I have had shingles recently. Shingles is only on one side of your body or the other. These bumps are on both sides of my face and neck. Thanks for your comment. - Lenore-

Hello! I'm going thru exactly what it sounds like you did too. I'm moving and have been under a lot of stress. What did you ever find out? Any tips? I have no idea what to do with these little bumps, they itch and look terrible.

Please help!

Hi. Yesterday I took a wash cloth and kept soaking it in hot water and placing it on my bumps. This morning the bumps had gone down a lot. I have been under a lot of stress recently. I have a very ill brother. Remember, I am 59 years old and I am supposed to have wrinkles not red bumps. Good luck..

Ok, mine is going going gone...dont scratch, wash with a mild cleanser,(if you can get annique its great, from SA and with rooibos extract) and moisturize even more than usual!

And lastly use Ilotysin TS, I mentioned this in a previous post, but could not remember the name, twice a day, I put it on about 30 minutes before I leave in morning, then put on the moisturizer if its dry, same in evenings, it dries out your skin, so I only use it when a bump appears or if the itcihing starts - its stress, and also weather, we now have winter and it started with a dry patch, itching and then made bumps, also some products can agrivate it, i also started using a new foundaition beginning winter, and this agrivated it, so watch out for new products.

Hope it helps, but Ilotyscin is an antibiotic, also suitable for pregnant ladies, i used it when I was pregnant 4 years ago as this is when I got it the last time before now! Also winter month ;)

Try a face lotion that contains MSM or neem oil. You can find this at a health food store.

I have the same condition. Irritating red bumps, very sore on my chin and sometimes even my neck. I am 28 and have had this occurance several times in life. Once when leaving for college at 18, then at 20 I decided to change my major and got them again. I'm currently going through it now and I just made a major move to another city. I believe these bumps are definitetly stress related. The good things is everytime I go to the doctor I receive a liquid solution that completely clears the bumps everytime. I never remember the name of the solution (sorry) but I'm sure it's across the board for this random occurance. Hope this helps!

Hi, I am convinced these red bumps are caused from stress. I went on vacation for a week, and they disappeared. Yesterday morning I found my 64 year old brother, that I loved with all of my heart, dead in his bed. My face and neck are now broken out again. Remember, I am 59 years old.

im 16, and ive never had spots or anything before, always had a perfect complexion,  but ive noticed ive started getting tiny pimples on my forehead and one of these red sore bumps on my chin in the past week, and ive been under lots of stress getting ready for college, i always wash my face before bed and use tea tree oil and face scrub, so the only thing that could be causing them is stress, and it sucks,:(

Im 13, and i'm very active in athletics, school work, and my daily life at home. The bumps are caused by TOO MUCH STREESS! So i would recommend (even though im just 13) to use a warm cloth and just put it on the bump every night until it goes away, and stay away from carbonated drinks, candy, and STRESSFUL situations. :)

I have something similar to that, but smaller. It started when i was about 15, and now im 20 and it hasnt gone away. I get it right in front of either ear about once a month. It starts as a smooth red bump, but no puss in it. Then it grows over the next 3 days or so to a point of hurting when i touch it, or if i lay my head on that side at night. And the longer it's there, the more purple it turns. If something hits it, it has ruptured before, and all that's inside is blood and sometimes a little oil. Then it leaves a dark scar in the same shape. And repeats over and over. Definately not acne. But I do have acne in other parts of my face. I have no answers, so I'm going to ask a dermatologist what she thinks.
