i have been getting this rash on the back of both of my hands off and on for over a year!its like mine chicken pox small liquid filled pimples that itch like crazy i went to the dr they didnt have a clue gave me a shot that cleared it up for awhile it comes and goes and it is only on the backs of my hands i was begining to think i was crazy :o
I am also getting a rash on my hands that itches. Will someone please tell me what it is.
sounds like scabies
Last year I randomly got this rash of small, itchy red bumps and flat spots on the backs of my hands. My doctor said it looked like hand foot and mouth disease (which can be hand only), said it would clear up, and we left it at that. It did clear up.
Today, I looked at my hands and noticed very similar small red bumps. They don't itch (yet), but they look exactly the same, so I decided to look hand foot and mouth up online. The rash for HF&M occurs on the palms of the hands and is generally much worse than what I have. I looked up all the diseases mentioned in this thread, and all of them are worse than what I have as well.
Someone on another site mentioned they get the bumps after being in the sun for a long time, which I was yesterday, and wonder if that's it. But I don't think I was out in the sun last year when I got it, and the sun's never bothered me before, so I have no idea!
If it starts itching I'm going to go to the doctor, though after reading this and seeing other people with the same situation of not knowing still, I wonder if its even worth it...

My son has this red bumpy, dry itchy rash that appears on the palms of his hands. Hydra cortisone did not help! I am curious if anyone else has this.? It comes and goes I mean like years in between. The first time he got it was while at school on the day his father died, before he knew about it. Docs said it wasn't screw bugs, seems like a allergic reaction or else nerves? Anyone have an idea?
I have experienced the EXACT SAME THINGS YOU HAVE SAID HERE and I first went to my general practioner who had no idea what it was and prescribed me, "CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE CREAM 0.5%" which worked slighty but not fast enough for me. While on the medicine for only a few days if even is when the blistery bubbles formed on my palm and at this point I'm was like, "WHAT THE HELL IS BUBBLING UNDER MY SKIN" so I went to my local EMERGENCY ROOM who too didn't know what it was and gave me one pill while in the ER which was some POTENT ANTIBIOTIC that kills BACTERIA which is what the doctor thought it was some sort of bacterial infection. I continued to use the cream along with the pill (I wish I knew the name, I thinks its was Cephalexin, but now sure) and eventually the rash went away but later came back. I personally have had eczema since a small child off and on but never on my hands. When this rash came back I went to my Dermatologist who prescribed me "CLOBETASOL OINTMENT"*********(DERMATOLOGIST SAID DO NOT USE CREAM AS THE CREAM WILL DRY IT OUT AND MAKE IT MORE ITCHY AND TO USE OINTMENT)******* MY DERMATOLOGIST GAVE IS SOME NAME SOUNDING LIKE WHAT YOU SAID STARTING WITH A D BUT I DIDN'T PAY TOO MUCH ATTENTION TO THE NAME OF IT I WAS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE TREATMENT AND HOW TO AVOID IT. DERMATOLOGIST said to use this cream twice a day and to of course use non irritating soaps, lotions which are FRAGRANCE FREE". THIS IS THE KEY TO AVOIDING ANY TYPE OF ECZEMA OUTBREAKS! When I follow this rule to a "T" I never have an outbreak. I don't follow it very often as its very hard. You have to use gloves that are cotton lined for doing dishes, cutting citrus fruits and using any sort of chemical which almost all have irritants unless you can afford the GOOD ORGANIC STUFF! My Dermatologist did give me the list of foods that can be irritants but I'm not quite ready to eliminate them from my diet as there are so many. Perhaps if I did it an elimination diet (removing all the list of suspected irritating foods from my diet and the gradually introducing one at a time) them I would know if the food is truly a factor. I suppose if they are making phamplets and such it has a strong possibility to be true. BEST ADVISE IS TO AVOID IRRITANTS IN ANY FORM AND WHEN YOU DO HAVE AN OUTBREAK OF COURSE SEEK MEDICAL ADVISE.
Thats exactly how it is, in the morning when i believe it to be at its worst.
i find putting my hands under really hot tap water soothes the pain for a few mins. probaly just because it turns the itchyness into burning lol.
i want it to go away!
i am fed up with it

I have had these red circular fliud leaking little red spots on the back of both my hands for three weeks. Must admit I have started eating tomatoes 3 weeks ago!!! dr dopey gave me a steriod - didn't work. with all these bloody databases can't these dopes figure out anything - come on this not the first time such a condition occured on people - it should be well documented - but dr dopey tells me "we will try this and if that does not work, we will try a stronger steriod" bloody dr dracula going suck the blood out of wallet!! he should know better I am indian - and I spending even a penny gives us indian's sleepless nights!!! best news is there is no doctor like Jesus Christ, confess and repent of your sins and pray to the maker of mankind - he can heal the blind this is a walk in the park...im now in prayer to the Lord...but suffering is humbling too...let God's will be done
i have a rash on the back of my hands, kind of like yours, after doing a small amount of research, your case sounds like it could be SCAPIES. look up more information on this topic.
i really want to thank MOMMA 4 . i was really starting to get concerned, i too got that rash on the inside of my wrists and unto my palm. i've been at home sick for a few days with strep (worst thing ever!!!) and when i started getting this rash i thought i was having a bad reaction to the antibiotics the dr. had prescribed me. so thank you so much! you saved me a trip to the emergency room.
Ugh, I have these little red bumps on the back of my hand, and I've had it for about 2 days now. They look like tiny red bumbs, possibly ones that look like they can pop, but they are solid. They itch every so often and sometimes I feel a burning sensation. I don't know if it's spreading or not, but I think it may just be slowly working up to my wrist, to work it's way up my right arm. Ugh, anyone got help? My mum has no idea what it is... I box occasionally, and I wear wraps which rub against my skin. Do you think maybe this has caused it? I can't think of anything else to be honest. Help? :-(
Try googling shingles.. it sounds like a lot of you probably had that. My daughter was just diagnosed. She has a red pimply rash on her hand and up her arm.
when i was pregnant i ended up with a sudden rash on my one arm. it was not a raised rash, but just red and looked like someone polka dotted me with a red marker. it burnt and itched and was extremely dry, so i went to the doctor and they told me that i had PUPPS. the rash spread to my hands to the point where i could not bend my fingers because my fingers ended up swelling and my hands felt like they were on fire, it then appeared on my legs and a small part of my abdomen. the rash suddenly went away about five months ago, but it suddenly came back on my hands today and it's the same burning feeling. my hands are in water a lot, but i wear gloves as much as i possibly can. i don't know what this rash is, but it's very irritable and i need to know what it is or how to get rid of it. any suggestions?
it seems there are multiple types of skin rashes on share here;
1. the tiny white bumps that if scratched lead to bigger red itchy bumps sounds like ringworm
2. the liquid filled tiny bumps are precursors to boils but if left alone will subside and reoccur elsewhere, transmissible thru fingernails
3. the rashes in clumps come from allergens, possible airborne
all of them are allergic reactions.
all of these reported here seem to come from dirty water.
some are initially treatable with antihistamine but need a doctor's diagnosis, don't stop if you can afford it and not until you get corroborating results
i know it's scary out there but keep your head about you and the answer will out.

If the rash appears in a circle, it's probably a fungus- ringworm. One person reported eating vitamin c and tomatoes made his rash worse. I noticed that acidic foods definitely aggravate my rash- tomato sauce, orange juice cause itching within 15-20 minutes after consumption. I developed this rash on 1 hand during a very high demands month with little sleep and lots of coffee. Like yours it itched/burned, blisters, thickens skin, peels and heals then itches and starts over again. Applying antihystimine gel is helping. I have been feeling better drinking Aloe vera gell drink and avoiding sweets and sugars- things I eat too much of (acid forming). It isn't getting worse, it's slightly better- still reddened and cracked looking. I will try hydrogen peroxide, but I agree with the woman who moved house that moisturizing helps and not breaking the skin is very smart. I suggest eating lots of chlorophyll rich vegetables which are alkalizing to the body and avoiding sweets and acidic foods.
