Hi I'm not sure what everyone has found out or not, but I have not been diagnosed, but believe I have Cold Urticaria. When there is a cold breeze in the house, or temperature drops (winter). I begin to break out. I do have cystic acne and was said to have a case of polycystic , but I did some research and feel I have the Cold Urticaria, I was constantly itching and getting bumps/lumps that would come up lat at night when I was doing school work. I thought I had a food allergy, but when I stopped eating what I felt was causing it Peanuts and Peanut butter, which I love, I still was having the issuesr hands almost have an interst feel as if you have been burned, or I guess as if you have held some ice for a long time.

The pain will stop sometimes in your hands, but not always. Then the itching is unbearable and I usually will have scratches... after the fact. I try not to scratch, but sometimes it is unbearable. I will use anihistamine, sometimes it works, or helps me to sleep so I won't scratch. I used to wake up looking awesome red bumps on face, I'm breaking out a bit now. I have a slight chill, it has to be what it is, no matter what I did nothing seemed to work.

The odd thing was I always used to say I think I'm allergic to the cold. I didn't have a rash when I was younger, this was not until my 30s it started happening.

Even prior to that, I did have a rash, or hive it popped up on my arms, but was from when I was cleaning and on the carpet and using clean products. I was a teen, it would come and go, and the doctor said it was hives. After I started protecting myself more by wearing long sleeves and gloves I didn't experience as much of a rash. However, when the weather changes and I become cold, I can break out. I noticed it as well, when I get cold from having a frozen items: Ice cream, frozen yogurt, freezes/icees etc.. but especially during winter months versus other months.
