Hi! i have went to the doctor about two lumps in my throat, which he called masses. there is one on each side of my throat. The scan last year showed nothing. After i had my tonsils were taken out the lumps got worse. I went to the doctor and the only way he would know of what they were is if i had surgery. I havent had any blood work or anything done. I am also not spitting up blood but i have hoarseness and a dry hacking cough. I need some help on what others think that i may have.
go get a full blood work includin c reactive rotein, and esr, I too had a mucas cough in throat , took antibiotcs that went and i got a dry cough, ask them to do an aallerggy test too, mine came as1666, it was just a general one my ent was surised he ut me on , demazine 1 every night n and rednasload one in the morning fr 7 days then half in the morning for 7 days n then half every alternate day for 3 days i was scared 2 take so many for so long soke 2 local doctor said it is because the allergy test came out so bad, he sent me to do more testing 2 c what i am really allergic to n 2 break it down for dander,ollen dust n grass i also feel there is something in the throat i too lose my voice n it gets hoarse sometimes n clear off hoarse sometimes. since taking the 2 rednasloan n demazine throat get that feeling on n off no ost nasal dri, but have heavy feeling in between bottom of throat and to of the chest comes n goes also get a neck ain tht comes n goes I have 2 see the ent next month, hoing n raying that everything comes back 2 normal. try to brew some ginger to taste with some honey in warm water, add a teasoon of ale ciderr viniger and c how it goes. kee us osted also do a thyroid, vitamin d n B 12 n folate test too, try 2 ush for another scan good luck
how did they diagnose silet reflux if you had no symtoms I too went to a gastro and before the gastro I saw the doctor who got me on zorton but zorton made me bur constantly and then it wld sto and I would get this uncomfortable feeling like I had to bur and cant bur at all, I took zorton the revious day before the gastroscoy was done could this have hidden the roblem I think I should have been off it for at least a coule of days before goig to the gastro I also have ost nasal dri ENT says ost nasal dri when I wnt for the second time first time did barium swallow said it all clear, do you think the doctor should have changed the zortone to something else to see if it heled as I stoed it mainly due to it making me feel unable to bur at times like colic and other times i would bur easily after taking it but it would changhe into not been able to bur and I would have to drink soda water or something , may be the balet shiould have been changed . Now the ENt had ut me on rednasloan for 1 month tking it 7 days am 1 a day then onto half for 7 days and alternate days half in the morning for thrity days and dmazine tablet in the night for thirty days, as my allergy test came out as 1666 it shod be zero to two hundred and the doctor said may because of the high allergy it might have been increased. driving me crazy, I still have the uncomfortable feeling in throat , on and off no mucas though, but dry cough, irritating ut my head down ad I start somethimes even when I am awake at work, today nose is running a
bit. Mucas was bad in throat it started to get yuck so they ut m on antibiotics and it assisted, after that i had the meeting with ent n he ut me on these tablets which i feel is worse as the antibiotics I would get it ut later on in the afternoon now I get it by mid day, this feeling I had it all the time before the antibiotics after mid morning, todays I tookthe rednasloan a bit later and felt my hear ounding and quite funny I am scared that when I come out of it I might be worse has anyone been through this lease kee me informed, after taking rednasloan I did not know what to do so I went and got zantac and I am taking that even though there is no hear burt or acid , hoing it will be better than the roblems i had with zorton can I take these even though it is sred through out the day,

Hello everyone, I had the same feeling about 7 years ago when my grandmother passed. I thought it was because I didn't drink enough water when I was swallowing some ibuprofen and maybe it could be some sort of irritation or that maybe it was acid reflux but after about a month of having this feeling I went to the ENT and they stuck a scope down my throat and said it was nothing. I continued to have this feeling for about 3 months total along with some anxiety attacks and a twitching of my eye. I do think this was all brought on by stress because low and behold it is back again and my mom is currently fighting stage 4 lung cancer and I am freaking out! I am under a lot of stress right now and I do believe that stress puts a toll on our bodies! I will say that this feeling in my throat is not there when I first wake up but gradually gets worse as the day goes on. Good luck to everyone dealing with this I know it sucks!

That's how I felt prior to being given an anti-gliadin count test and receiving a dx of gluten intolerance. Never did do the "gluten challenge" which, for me, would result in reflux, swollen throat, diarrhea after eating gluten containing foods, all just to get a dx from a gastroenterol. rather than the results already obtained from the "anti-gliadin test (24 hour saliva test) from my GYN. That is one simple test that can eliminate further, more complex diagnoses, or point you on to more testing if you Aren't gluten intolerant. MyGP dismissed the results of the saliva test - said she "didn't believe in it", and took a blood test. Blood test was NEGATIVE BUT I HAD BEEN OVER THREE MONTHS GLUTEN FREE BY THEN. THAT WAS A STUPID, and UNTHINKING move by my Doc. I have a new GP since then
Oh, and that was four or five years ago. When I accidentally ingest gluten containing foods, all the symptoms come back for at least 36 hours.
Don't worry yourself! Ask your dr to run bloodtest on your thyroid..and possibly a biopsy on goiters.. I have a goiter on both sides of my thyroid, have had them for yrs now..they been biopsy, no cancer..Thank God... I now, for the past week, am experiencing the feeling like a pill is stuck in my throat, really feel it when I drink something.. it doesn't hurt at all..when things calm down I will be calling the doctor!!!
First of all I would recomend just seeing your doctor,and asking about these symtoms. Be sure to include any other symtoms that you are having also when you are explaing this to him. I have found that every time I have gone in to see my doc i have gone home with more questions than when i went in. This is why it is good to write down, when you have these symtoms, what you are doing when they occur, and all the questions you might have to ask, stupid or not! Bring the sheet with you and literaly read them to him. It will help trust me.
ANXIETY ended up being the cause of my "lump in the troat feeling" along with a lot of other symptoms. Such as headaches, weakness/tiredness, blured vision, palpitations(heart skipping a beat), feeling of fainting, tightness in neck, chest pain, and the list goes on. I am still in the process of figuring out how to manage these symtoms as they affect me every day. I had 3 EKG's done, 2 were normal, and 1 was "abnormal" which led one doctor to mention "Brugada Syndrome". Which for a person with anxiety was probably not the best thing to here. Seeing as it is also known as "Sudden Death Syndrome"...
I went and saw a cardiologist, he said there was only one way to figure out if i had the syndrone. Get pumped with some drug for 4 hours and basically see if it gives me a heart attack... You can imagine with my anxiety i didnt want to do this right away. But now i am considering it because the medicine they put me on "Wellbutrin SR" does not seem to be working. as a matter of fact it seems to be making it worse.
Question: Does anyone know what the chances of me having this, "Brugada Syndrome" is? Because i really dont want to take that test, i feel as though i might have a heart attack just from the anxiety of taking the test... HELP!
I am having the same symptoms and am also very alarmed when reading on what the cause could be...The doctor told me it could be as simple as irritation from coughing when I had a cold and ear infection. The same as you, it seems to get worse as the day progresses...please post again if you find out any more, please...

hii...before some time i also experienced same feelings. this feeling make me irritated..i feel something like mucus is stuck in my throat...then i use vicks vapo rub and apply it on my throat and neck area at the time of bed..and same time i also take 1 B-complex capsule per day and a cough syrup kas madhu.. after 3-4 days i feel relax by this problem.. so i dont no it actually works or not but feel relief so i suggest u can try it once..and it not cost more than hundred rupees..
I would say getting professional help would be the best advise, taking and mixing too many over the counter medication and mixing them together can have very dangerous effects so first seek medical help.
