Did you ever find out what this is caused by? I had an ablation and had periods for a year after barely any cramps and flow was "normal". Then they stopped. Then the cramps increased each month only a little spotting and intense cramps. Now I cramp all month long & still no period

I had the ablation 2 years ago and like most of you it was great at first. But now I'm in so much pain that I'm miserable beyond words. Nobody is listening to me. They make me feel like I'm crazy but this pain is so real

Hi, I had exactly the same as you. After lots of trips to the doctors I eventually had a scan.Turns out it was trapped blood in my fallopian tubes and my uterus. Very very painful. I then saw a consultant who was amazing. I ended up having a hysterectomy which stopped all the pain immediately. Apparently when you have an endometrial ablation it cortorizes your womb lining. It doesn't stop your periods it blocks the blood from coming out of your womb lining and it has to go somewhere, so it back tracks, and builds up. If you can imagine putting a soaking wet sponge in a polythene bag and then squeezing it........ the water can't go anywhere, so just pools in the bottom. When I had my hysterectomy, there were 4 of us having hysterectomies the same day because of severe pain after endometrial ablations. Hope this helps you xx

Hello, I had same procedure in 2008. After a years 2012 I started suffering cramping .. I was hospitalized to manage pain. A week later I saw my gynecologist, that he said it was a fibroiD (via ultrasound). He kept in eye for growth. However, 2016, I find out that many who have gotten this procedure, have come back complaining about pain. I found out it's not a fibroid but a pocket of liquid.... still looking into it...

Have u had any answers yet?
I had EA done just over 8 months ago, I have not stopped taking my period but it is a lot lighter and doesn't last as long as it used too, love that part. The problem started 2 months ago, 2 days before my period started I had a stabbing pain in my lower left abdomen that came and went, then my period started and sore cramp and back ache kicked in that lasted for the 4 day of bleeding but the back ache continued for a further 3 days with pressure on my back passage stabbing pain still coming and going this lasted all month and got worse 2 days before my period then all the same symptoms as the month before. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Hello i was looking for answers as to why im still having these horrible cramps after the nova sure procedure .its been about 7 years since ive had it done and two years ago i get the worse cramps ever, my body breaks out in sweats and my heart palpitates in the never before way..ive only bleed twice bright red but only when i pee. I also heard the lining of the uterus grows back? Not sure how healthy that would be? Imagine it would leave scarring? . ive had doctor checks up dozens of times and they can't find anytying. My blodd pressure is slightly high due to the pain from the cramping. Which was the only reason why i had this procedure done to stop the cramping. Is there a specialist here that could answer? #inpain

I had the ablation in 2012, in the last two years or so, I had excruciating pain on my left side and in my legs, went to Dr in May 2015, he put me on b/c pills, they did help some, he told me if that did not work, hysterectomy was my only option, I did not want hysterectomy so I did not go back until June 2016, after the pain sent me to ER, saw my Dr that actually did my ablation, he told me that a hysterectomy was not necessary and would be his last resort. I had a D&C done Friday, woke up from surgery, have had no pain from the surgery or the cramps. Feel like a new person. There are options other than a complete hysterectomy.

I had an endometrial ablation back in 2010 and everything was going great until yesterday for me. I had the most extreme cramping hit me out of nowhere. I wasn't expecting them at all. I was literally on the floor in tears. I'm still in pain. I took some Ibuprofen thinking the pain would stop. The pain is so intense that whatever I eat comes right back up just as soon as the cramping starts

I had a ablation done 6 mths ago, at first I got my period for the first two months with heavy bleeding. Now I am experiencing a medium period lasting two days. However the cramps are almost unbearable labor pains. I am just trying to see what the end results will be of this procedure.
