I suffered with this for several years, went thru every test from the doc, to find out years later it is reactive hypoglycemia and syndrome X hypoglycemia. The doc could not help me as he did not know enough about it, so I went to a naturopath and got my life back! I highly recommend you do research online for these two things, but diet is the only way to deal with it, also avoiding stress, extreme heat, and poor sleep, which all make it worse too. It got so bad for me that I ended up in emerg many times, sometimes with what seemed like panic attacks too, but were not. I spent a few years stuck at home with no energy, and because I never knew when these symptoms were going to hit me. Please don't wait to get help, it will get much worse and you won't be able to work. The internet was very helpful in helping me figure out what was wrong with me, as I found many others suffering with the same thing, but docs didn't know what to do with them. The main idea is to eat a healthy protein with a healthy carbohydrate for every meal and snack-religiously! If you have a problem at night time, eat half a cup of steel cut oatmeal before bed. Absolutely STAY AWAY from all types of sugar, and foods that quickly turn into sugar in the blood, because it will cause the reactive hypoglycemia.

Sounds like a panic attack to me! I have had them for 2 years now and was diagnosed with GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder). It took me a while to get a diagnosis, took about 6 doctors? You need to figure out what triggers it, its pretty hard to notice but mine eventually came to me. I have a phobia of being sick, others being sick and feeling sick. Basically, anything to do with sick will set me off. I have IBS, so I feel sick all the time anyway so I was having a panic attack almost 5 times a day. But you don't have to have the full blown panic attack to realize it is a panic attack. What usually happens to me is I will be fine one minute, and then all of a sudden I will have a hot, horrible feeling rising through my stomach and up through my head, I will sweat and my heart palpitates beyond comfort. I would keep visiting different doctors until you find one that has the knowledge. My doctor put me on a beta blocker which blocks the physical effects of a panic attack. Good Luck xx

I have been having this problem, especially when I don't eat. And I just now googled my symptoms because I just experienced another "attack", but this time it was after I ate two candy bars (like a smart one...). I am being tested for diabetes within the week and knocking on wood, I hope I don't have it. But I would like to know how to fix it...

ekgs only tell you if you are having a heart attack. you need to have a stress test done. this is not panic attack. make sure your doc does a full blood panel...and fasting glucose.

Try another pregnancy test some don't show signs of pregnancy right away so I would say if you missed your period check a couple days to a week later

I am a college student and a bodybuilder...Last week I ended up in the E.R with the same symptoms. Started seeing green and yellow stars like fireflies,  Tunnel vision, feeling like i was going to faint, tight chest, couldn't breathe.  Anyways EKG was good, blood work was good, and I had a head CT scan done which also looked good...A day after I felt better but then the next day the symptoms came back.  I had a follow up appointment and the Doc told me the Workout supplements I was taking were equal to about 10 cups of coffee worth of caffeine a day.  And on top of that I haven't had a good night sleep in weeks...And i'v been on a calorie deficit diet for 3 months getting ready for a competition. The Doc said I was most likely suffering from Caffeine withdrawals. Since I stopped taking all of that c**p after the E.R incident I feel miserable and I'm having Anxiety attacks through out the day, mix that with major sleep deprivation and you feel like your outside of your body all day...Every time I walk I like Zoom in like it's hard to explain its like I'm going to fall asleep while i'm in mid walk, but then when i laydown I can't sleep! . Its terrible I cant stand this.  They prescribed me a weeks worth of Trazodone to help me sleep and so far 3 days in it has done nothing for me...All I want to do is sleep just for 8 hours straight just once.

I have had the same issues. My doctor told me I am enemic, also I have anxiety issues and high metabolism. All together it makes for a pretty scary experience.  My low iron sometimes causes me to feel light headed and dizzy. Also having anxiety issues seems to cause the same effect sometimes. If i don't eat every couple hours i start to feel light headed and then I start to panic which makes it worse. It's kind of a downward spiral until I eat a large meal which does more for my nerves than it does my stomach.

I had all those symptoms too like wolf141......I have been to er twice, my pcp, a Neurologist ......I have had mri, mra, cta, chest xray and tons of bloodwork. I was a mystery to them all.o.....until my Neurologist referred me to the infectious disease doctor and come to find out I'm normal all my tests are normal and I have benign postional vertigo.....I just had to do 2 different exercises.....and I was fine.......so scary weird bc I really thought .....first one sit in middle of bed with legs on side the rapidly lay to ur right and turn ur head up to the ceiling...then sit up fast and do the same for the other side. U will bring the feeling on quick of fainting......I had to do this 20 times in am and pm.....second one was hold ur arm out straight and point finger upward then look at finger....move to right and left 20 times....only moving ur finger....then hold finger still and then only ur head right to left ....I did his in Dr office after having breaking down and crying bc I was at a absolute lost. Hope this will help anyone having same symptoms....it saved me! I am so thankful !
